DDP and DVC

We are thinking of getting the ddp for our trip in June. We're not sure whether there will be three or four of us going. When do we have to pruchase the DDP, just before checkin, or is there a set amount of days before checkin?
 
All I know is that it has to be added to your reservation prior to check in - I don't think it's clear whether there is a cut-off date but I suspect you will probably be able to add it up to a day or so before.
 
You can add the DDP anytime up until the day of check-in, so the day before is fine. But you cannot pay for it until you check-in.

We were told that we could add the dining plan at check-in. We were also unsure how many people would be going with us, the DVC rep taking our reservation said that each person could pay for the plan with their own credit card as we are checking in. :thumbsup2
 

Oddly enough, I was told that DDP can be added up until the day before check-in. :confused3 Sounds like different MS CMs have different answers.

Whoever told you that you could add the DDP at check in was incorrect. There is a thread on the boards where someone tried to change it at check in and they were unable to do so. MS must be notified by telephone prior to check in. So if you are checking in on Monday, you'll need to notify them by Sat. You pay for it when you check in.

Thanks for the update. Our trip isn't until December, I will make sure that we add the plan well before we show up.
 
I'd double check it with MS a few days before your arrival just in case something messed up on their end.
 
If you add the DDP to your DVC for a trip - Do you have to have everyone on the DDP that is staying in the room? In our group 2 members want it and 2 do not want to pay for it.

Yes, everyone on the reservation has to take it.
 
We just returned from SSR and when we checked in the CM did not have our DDP on the reservation ! OH NO! By having good documentation that we did add it to the reservation ( I always keep a 6 x 9 env. with all a checklist of ressies, flights etc marked with dates completed in it for each trip) we were able to get the DDP corrected. It took a fabulous supervisor to override the system. Thanks for the great time !
