I am out of points, but we are going back in november anyway! We are making a reservation through expedia.

I don't think so, but can we add DDP to this reservation somehow? Being members or not?

Did you check the other discounts through Disney and MS?

Check out the Disney website, they are currently offering several discounts. Member Services has limited availability with a 25% discount off of rack rate. Lastly login on the DIS and check out the rent/trade board to see if a owner can make a reservation for you at a substantial discount over Disney's prices.

Yes, you can add DDP to any onsite reservation but be sure to see what might be available with the member discount thru MS (although MS may not have much availability for November reservations).

You can also get the Tables in Wonderland card instead of DDP if you want. It's $100 bucks for DVC. Only one person needs it for up to 10 guests to get 20% off everything at all the T/S restaurants that take it. It'll be good for 13 months from date of purchase, so if you go more than once a year, it may be a better deal than DDP (certainly much more flexible and includes appetizers and alcohol).

Awesome! Thank you everyone for your advice!!!! I'm lookking into MS right now and the Tables discount sounds great! Do I get that while I'm down there or ahead of time?

Just be warned, they automatically add a 18% tip with Tables in Wonderland. I am not saying you should or shouldn't tip 18%, but just think it should be known.

It is important to know that. I had completely forget the first time I used my card and tipped as I always would. Didn't realize to the next day. I guess that explained the HUGE smile on her face!!!!!:rotfl2:

Ha! Yeah, I bet the waitress was happy with that.

I usually tip 18%- but I like the be given that option to do so. There have been a few occasions that I didn't think 18% was deserved for one reason or another.

But then again, it's rare I've found problems with that in Disney!

Is it just a sit down thing? I couldn't use it at a quick serve counter for the discount, correct?

In my experience, you CANNOT add the DDP to room reservations through Expedia (or any cash reservation that is not a package unless you are doing it through DVC Member Services). It is not related at all to whether you are a DVC member or not.

You can only add the DDP to a package reservation that includes room + at least a one day ticket with the exceptions of AP holder ticketless packages and DVC (points or cash through MS) reservations.

It's mostly sit down places, but there are a few others...some resort food courts, in AK Flame Tree Barbecue and Restaurantasaurus and Pizzafari and it's accepted in most resort lounges.
Here's a link to the full list: http://allears.net/din/tiwlist.htm
Just wanted to add...when you use it at one of the food courts or counter services, they do not charge the 18% gratuity!

I booked HHI for two day cash visit through MS today. It was $25 a day cheaper to go with MS than Expedia. There were no points rooms available, but they had cash rooms available.

The table in wonderland is good deal if you eat at table service a lot. If you are not happy with your server you may ask the manager to take off the tip. They will in my experience. FYI, the service should really suck because that person will probably be leaving service with Disney. Then again it is Disney the service should be world class.

We complained at Crystal Palace after our server did not return to our table for 45 min. We had to stop other servers to ask for help, and she still didn't come. When she did show back up she acted as if nothing had happened. Any who, check with member services before ya go to Expedia.
