DDP and DVC and anual pass questions

I posted these questions elsewhere but wasn't sure where it goes.
I am renting pts and got reservation at the BWV. while reading the Sticky thread on the DDP I saw these questions which affect me directly.
In the DDP FAQ thread it says the following two things

Can I still get my AP or other discounts?
As of today, you must pay rack rate for the room and puchase at least a one day base ticket for each member of your party, unless you book your entire package with AAA.


Can I get the dining plan if I am a DVC owner?
As of April 1, 2006 DVC owners & renters will be able to purchase the dining plan. DVC owners are not required to purchase tickets with the dining plan



I am not the owner. I am a renter. How am I affected in regards to purchasing the plan and the tickets required?

I am planning on buying an Annual Pass. Must I buy a one day pass also?

As a renter, you can purchase the DDP without a package. However, the owner must make the call to add the DDP to your reservation before your arrival date. Then you pay for the plan when you check in.

And there is no ticket requirement for a DVC resort stay on points so you can buy an AP without buying an extra ticket.

Correct. You will pay the regular price for the meal plan and it will be for the number of nights of your stay at DVC and it will be for everyone in your party. But there is no ticket purchase requirement on top of that for you, so you can use or purchase any sort of ticket you want.

But again, as stated, you must have the owner from whom you rented add the dining plan to your reservation. You will pay for the dining plan upon check in at DVC.
