A little advice for those packing. If you are on the DDP, I would pack fewer snacks to bring along. We have teenage DD and DS that are big eaters. We brought snacks to fill in. We ended up bringing most back home. After CS and TS we had trouble even finishing our snack opptions. The "pop Tarts" and donuts for breakfast were the only thing really taken advantage of .

Thanks for the advice! I am one who always packs a bunch of snacks (cookies, fruit snacks, chips, crackers, etc). Since we will be on the DP, I will bring MUCH less!!!!

Thanks. We usually bring a snacks in, but I told my group, I would only worry about snacks for the room at nights. I'll bring a couple daily to the parks, but not like we normally do, just in case.

We do bring our own water, and will so again. Save the credit for the snack for the day.

We did the Dining Plan for the 1st time in January. We had brought a lot of snacks with us. Well, they all came home with us!

Did the DP again in May & this time we knew better...didn't bring ANY snacks with us....and on our check-out day we still had 13 snack credits to use up.

OMG I totally agree with this one! DDP is sooooo much food; it's actually HARD to use all the credits. I ordered groceries online to have munchies in our DVC villa for our May trip, and barely touched them because we felt too full from the dining plan.

So... another tip: Don't even bother with a grocery stop if you're using the plan. :)

Thanks for the info. Won't bring what I had planned on bringing. :thumbsup2

I definately felt like my husband and I didn't snack as much ( I think I had one ice cream the whole trip), but my kids 6,5 & 2 definately still needed the gold fish/pretzel/juicebox thing. They are up early even on trips so by 9:30/10 they need a little something. I did notice after most CS lunches they didn't ask for the ice creams though. WE are big water drinkers so the snack credits came in handy for that. This year I'm excited to be able to use them for the donuts/muffins. :thumbsup2
