I tried to do a search on this because I'm sure it has been covered, but my search button isn't working.

Am I correct to think that the DDP would be a good deal to consider for our Christmas trip (Dec. 20 - Jan. 3) because of all the special holiday menus many of the restaurants feature which can be more expensive than the regular menus offered the rest of the year?

We originally were going to use the DDE but now I'm rethinking my plan because I know that many places won't accept DDE on the holidays. Seems the DDP would be a better way to to.

Any thoughts or tips?

Thanks,

Deb

I would think this is the best time to get DDP. It'll be like buying the meals at a discount. The key will be to make and keep those TS ADRs so you get your value.

Definitely! This is the reason why we're doing the DDDP for our trip this Christmas. Last Christmas I paid out of pocket and got sick and tired of the 'holiday surcharges' everywhere.

I agree, I would do the DDP during the holidays. For one adult and one child, we paid $50.00 at Chef Mickeys because it was Jan. 5. We've spent less than that for 2 adults and 1 child there before.
