Okay, so here's my situation. I'm traveling solo to WDW in May over Memorial Day Weekend for Star Wars Weekends and I'm on the DDP. I have most of my ADRs made already, but have two nights that I'm trying to fill.

My dilemma is this: I want to keep one night free of ADRs because there's a SW Weekend event that I don't want to miss because of an ADR and there may be only one night that I can do it. What I'm looking for is a 1 TS meal that accepts the DDP that won't require an ADR. In or out of the park is fine, and I don't care if I have to wait because that may be what I have to do. I'm hoping for something after 7:30. I'd like to try Beaches and Cream, but I can't tell if it's on the DDP. For this night(Friday before Memorial Day, an in theme park restaurant is fine).

Second question. I'm not going to the parks at all on Sunday, so I'm trying to find an outside of the parks TS meal that won't require an ADR. I thought Trails End might work for this, but the WDW DDP brochure strongly recommends getting an ADR. I realize that the parks will likely be very crowded because of the holiday, so please let me know if I'm out of my mind.

Thanks.

Technically, no restaurant requires an ADR, but that's semantics. :)

Beaches and Cream, ESPN, and Planet Hollywood might be places to consider.

Also, once you know which night you are free for the dining, call the dining line to see if there's any openings somewhere else.

We've really enjoyed ESPN Club on the Boardwalk on our last 2 trips. It is fairly basic bar food, but good bar food and a fun atmosphere. They don't take ADRs at all, so they're a good choice for an evening you don't want to plan in advance.

Beaches & Cream does take the dining plan, so that's another good option. We haven't eaten there yet because there's been such a long wait for a table when we've tried, but if you don't mind waiting, it looks delicious!

I've heard such great things about Beaches and Cream that I may just deal with the wait to experience it for myself. I'm glad to know it's on the DDP.

Thanks for the tip about calling dining. I may have to put it to use.

An update of sorts here. I was able to get an ADR at Trails End for Sunday night, so now I just have Friday night free, which I will keep free unless Le Cellier opens up.
