Here is my plan, tell me if this works or not. I plan to buy the DVC discounted annual pass, the rest of the family will get the MY WAY tix. Then I will purchase the DDE with my annual pass. So obviously I need to purchase ap first, but since it will only be a voucher, how will I order the DDE? Also, will the voucher be activated once we get there or immediatley on purchase of the voucher?
Last question, we will be treating another family of 4 (we are 4) to meals there. Can I use the DDE for everyone or just my family?....thanks in advance ....Sue

1st question-I only have a voucher as well. That's all you need at this time to order the DDE. Just call them up, they'll ask for the voucher #, which is on the back of the card and that's it. Not sure when you are leaving, I have heard it takes 4-6 weeks and I've heard 6-8 weeks due to the demand, so I ordered mine at the 8 week mark to be on the safe side.
2nd question-The AP voucher is activated when you phyically get there to activate it. The DDE is activated from time of purchase, with a little lee way because it takes so long to arrive. For example, I ordered mine 2/17/05 and will be good until 3/31/06. Which is fine w/me because I know my 1st trip in '06 will be after March.
3rd question-Yes, the cards are good for up to 10 people, but the card holder (you) must be present in order to do so. They will send out a 2nd card, but only if it is a spouse.

Just to add - If you don't have time to wait for the card, Dining will send you either a fax or an email that you can use in lieu of the card. Several have reported that the email/fax confirmations work just fine.

You can also order the DDE from your resort or DD Guest Relations. Dining will fax the confirmation to either place if you so request.

And I need to keep assuring myself that this is still true, LOL! I plan to order our DDE card after we get to WDW so that it is good for two trips - we generally take trips 11 months apart so we can get maximum use out of APs. Now I want to do the same with the DDE.
