DDE Question

Can you order a DDE right before an AP is due to expire and use it for the next year even if the AP is expired. We have park passes and probably won't need our APs for next year, but the 20% discount would help.

Yes. The DDE has it's own expiration date which is not connected with the expiration date ofthe AP.

I just read on mousesavers I think that you can now get them at WDW and don't have to order them before your trip anymore. Let me see if I can find the link ......

As of 11/12/07, Annual Passholders and Florida residents can purchase the Disney Dining Experience card at Disney World Guest Services locations (previously the card had to be purchased by mail). Proof of eligibility is required.

But I think the OP is suggesting they won't be getting a new AP.

Yup, you are right. I misread.....oops! Oh well, it was news to me that you no longer had to order the card I guess I was just excited to share!

Macie, appreciate the enthusiam, and that would have been great news if my AP was still going to be valid when I arrive in October. Unfortunately it expires October 1st and next trip doesn't start until October 18th. I'll order my DDE on September 20th and it will cover the next two trips.
