DDE question?

Can you use your AP voucher to get a DDE card before your trip? Does your AP become activated if you do this? I want to have the DDE card to use for several days before we activate our AP's at the parks, is this possible?

Your AP will not activate when you use your AP voucher to get the DDE card.

If you order your DDE from home and have it mailed or arrange to pick it up upon arrival at WDW - it will not activate your voucher.
I waited to buy the DDE until I arrived at WDW. They activated my voucher. I only lost one day of usage, so it wasn't a big deal.

If I wanted to have the DDE card good from June of 2008 thru June of 2009 (13 months), when should I sign up with my AP voucher online? Can I plan this out to work for us? We have a trip planned for this June and a tentative one scheduled for next June and would like to get the best use of my DDE card.
