If I am using the DDP for the meal portion of a package, can I still use the DDE for any alcohol (not part of the package obviously) at these places? Example: I am at Le Cellier and using the DDP to pay for my CP package. If I want to order Ice Wine, can I still get my 20% DDE discount on that?

"The Disney Dining Experience discount cannot be combined with any other discount or package. This includes events such as Fantasmic Dinner Package, Epcot Food and Wine Festival Events, and Candlelight Dinner Packages."

Thanks!

Yes!

You can use DDE for anything that's not covered by the DDP -- such as wine, other alcohol, bottled drinking water, or an additional food course. They'll deduct the 20% alcohol discount and the 20% food discount to those items; and they'll add an automatic 18% tip. There's a line to increase the tip (optional).

Thanks! One more question -- I have an AP that expires on Aug 5. I know you have to have an AP to purchase the DDE card, but do you have to have an AP to USE it? What I'm trying to ask is if I can buy the card Aug 4 (or whenever before my Ap expires) and then use in for my mid-December trip? Thanks!

I think so. The DDE card is good for a year, and has an expiration date on it.

Never used the dining plan, but was able to use the DDE when I decided to buy the whole bottle of ice wine, LOL!

The DDE card carries it's own expiration date. All you'll need to use it is some ID (and last time we used our DDE, we were NEVER asked for ID).

we just returned from Disney and used that card almost everywheres........Not once did I have to use my ID card ...a drivers license ...not my AP card....

Hello horace horsecollar, I was just curious. I have used both my ddp and my dde on the same occasion, using the dde for alcoholic drinks and extras. I never really paid much attention but are you saying that the server is geting an 18% gratuity twice? Once from the ddp and than again on the second tab the dde.

When I started using the DDE I always gave my lisence. At most places I got the "why are you giving me this?" look. ;) However at Pop Century Food Court there was one older woman who examined both my card, and my lisence, then asked me "And who are you?".

I have stopped giving my lisence but always have it with me in case I'm asked. And I have never had to show my AP.

POFQ is also a place where they almost always ask for I.D.. I told a CM that they were one of the only places that asked for it, she thought that was odd, and said she would get in trouble if she didn't ask.

and this was where we were a few weeks ago...FQ....Not one asked for my ID to go with any purchases.......we saved alot of money for my hubby and myself and our sil and bil........sit down restaurants......we had some good discounts...
