DDE Question: More than 6 people....

I am a DDE member that will be traveling with 6 adults and 1 child in Sept. I know that the DDE covers parties up to 6 people. Does anyone kno what happens when there's more than 6? Is it 6 people per cardholder (my DW also has a card)? Do they give you 20% off the 6 people and full price for the 7th or do they just deny you the whole discount? This will really change our dining plans.

Also, did this change recently? Allearsnet.com still reports it is up to 10 people, but I'm going by the letter from DDE which says 6.

I'm quite sure this changed to "up to parties of 10" this year. Someone said they thought Dining was still sending out the old brochure/letters. Perhaps you could call and see what they say about it.

Anyway, you can only use one card per table. I don't know what happens if you have more than the limit at the table. This reply will bump the post back up to the top, though, so maybe someone else will see it and post the answer.

The letter that came with my DDE card says 'revised January 2005' and says it's good 'for parties up to 9 people'. It also says 'membership discount is valid for only 1 check per party'.

We were 4 adults, 2 teens, and 1 child. Only oce was it mentioned that we were more than 6 people, and the manager gave us an exception and we got the 20% for the whole group. We saved a TON of money using that card!

Its now good for up to 10 people including yourself. Has to be one check at the table and only one card per account is accepted. If you have more than 10 people in your party, you should receive one check for 10 with the discount and a second check with the remaining without the discount.

We havent recieved our cards yet.... but so far in this thread some have said 6, 9 and 10.

And while I know it is NOT the policy, we were a group of 11, with three children, and they gave us the discount every time on everything anyone ordered. I think sometimes it's up to the discretion of disney.

I ordered my card in January and it is good for up to 10 people. We were allowed at a couple of restraunts to use our card and let my parents pay with their Visa. This is an exception, but just ask your server.

Okay I ordered my cards in Mid January. I got them today...

The letter that they were attacthed to says "revised January 2004" and states UP TO 6 PEOPLE.

Just got back Sat and used the card the whole week first couple of days there were 12 of us and then 10 the rest of the week, they discount the entire ticket each time...
