DDE...how long to get card now?

I had my DDE card but it expired the end of May. Rather than renew it then, I decided to let it run out, and then get a new one for our Oct trip. Also going in Dec and then hopefully in Aug '07. So....I know that when we were getting them last year, if we called in May, we had our cards run until June '06. Anyone get one recently and when does it expire based on your call date. I'm trying to figure out when to call to get the most use of the card...Oct '06 through Aug '07. Maybe call in Aug???

Ours lasted for a year and a half. We got it at the start of our trip with very little trouble.

I ordered mine on June 7, 2006 and it was charged the same day. I received mine last Friday. That makes the total turn around time 2 weeks and 2 days. I have an expiration date of July 2007.

We let ours run out at the end of June this year (June 2006- Bought last May) because we knew we were going July 28-Aug 13 this year and July 13-29 next year. I wanted my card to have a July 2007 expiration date.

I had e-mailed them and was told that as long as I ordered after the 5th of the month my expiration would be for the following month 1 year later. So for me, I had to wait until 6/5/06 to order.

I was also told the 5th of the month in order to have the next month expiration. It ordered June 5 and it arrived one day last week. July 31, 2007 is the expiration date.

I just called this morning to purchase one. Cast member said if I ordered it today, it would be good until the end of July 2007. If I wait until Wednesday (7/5), it will be good until the end of August 2007. She said I should recieve it in approx. 3-4 weeks.

A DDE card gives you twenty percent off all TS meals. Some CS are included where there is no TS. You also get free valet parking.

It is only available to Fl residents and AP holders. At least that has been the case..don't know if it has changed.
Looks like I'll be ordering my new card after July 5...that way it should be good through Aug. '07!!! Thanks guys!!

We ordered ours around the 1st of June and got it in less than 2 weeks.

I ordered mine on June 14 and it arrived today, June 30th. We leave today at 5PM. Serendipity!!!! Now I don't have to go to Epcot Guest Services when we arrive.

So 2 weeks, 2 days for me.

P.S. It's good through July 31, 2007
