DDE Holiday Black-out Dates???

can anyone confirm that DDE has expanded their holiday 'black-out' dates (i.e. the dates that disney will not allow you to use your DDE card for the 20% discount due to the holiday) to cover DEC 15, 2007 all the way through JAN 5, 2008?

i saw this on another board and was dumbfounded...did the black-out period not used to be the single holiday dates - or did i simply dream that?

Noooooo! First the 18% gratuity in Jan 2008 and now THIS? Anyone has an update on this?

We just got our new cards in the mail the other day, and all it says is the holidays, not the holiday "periods". If there had been an announcement about this, there would be lots of comments on it, just like the 18% gratuity thing. I think we're good for now, at least...

No worries! I just called the DDE number and the cast member told me that the confusion comes from the fact that the prices for most character meals are going up for the holiday period (starting Dec 15) but that we are still entitled to our 20% discount. The black out dates are as stated on the website, xmas eve, xmas day, new year's eve and new year's day.

i'm thinking the same thing.....this would be pretty big and i'm guessing word would've gotten around. until i get confirmation, i'll continue to chalk it up to the rumour mill.....
