I would love to get a DDE card but am not a florida resident and am not a AP holder.

Is there any other way of getting hold of one at all?!

We're gonn abe there for 2 weeks and will be eating in quite a few signature restaurants so it could save us loads!

Thanks in advance guys!

should do the math on one person getting an annual pass and then buying the DDE card. The difference in price for a base ten day (fourteen days wouldn't be that much more) and the AP would be a little over $200 for one person. There are generally room discounts with the AP and the savings from "quite a few signature restaurants" will be substantial depending on the number in your party. The DDE can be used for up to ten people on the same check.

If you already have tickets one set can be upgraded to an annual pass once you get there.

Here is an example of how the annual pass can be a good savings:

I'm in the UK and my tickets are the 7 day premium tickets which are only available in the UK.

Do you know if I would be able to upgrade this type of ticket to an AP?

Many thanks guys

so but it would be better to ask. Another wrinkle is whether the premium tickets have to be upgraded to a premium AP. I seem to remember reading that somewhere. You can probably email Disney. I have done so in the past and have reasonably quick responses. You still have a few months before your trip so there is time to get answers and do the costing.

If you decide to upgrade your tickets you can do it at any park or in Downtown Disney. The resorts can't do the upgrade. The DDE can be obtained at any park Guest Service location.

Good luck. Sorry I don't have the answers you need.

Nope, open only to annual passholders and Florida residents.

If you are going to be there for 2 weeks, you should get an AP anyway, and the DDE discount will just be bonus savings.
