DDE expiration ?

I've seen conflicting information on how long the DDE card is good for (some say 12 months & others 13). I need to know if I buy one in early September, whether it will expire at the end of September 2009 or at the end of October 2009. I have 4 trips between 9/1 this year and 10/31 next year, and it would be nice if the DDE would be good for all four trips

It depends on when you buy the DDE card. I purchased mine on 3/22 and it expires 04/30. I'm not sure what expiration date you would get if you purchased it on 9/1. Why don't you just purchase the card right before you need to use it -- that way, the later the better.

It doesn't help me on solo trips, which 99% of mine are. However, I have a family trip in May 2009 and a girls' trip in early October 2009, and if it isn't going to cover those two trips, I'd rather wait & get it later. I'm going solo in early September, and I thought I'd get it then if I could find out for sure that it would go through next October. Otherwise, I'll get it when I go back in December so I'll know for sure I'm covered.

If it helps (probably not, just more data!), we bought ours on 6/13 and it doesn't expire until 7/31.

Data is good Looks like it might be 13 months, but I'll find out in September.

I bought mine at the end of May, 08, and it is good through 6/30/09. I do a lot of solo trips, so it will still save you money. Although if you are going early in September, I would probably wait until you go back in December. A CM told me somewhere around the 20th of the month is when they extend it to the next month.

Pretty sure it is 13 months since I bought mine on July 20th and it is good through 8/31/09. I purchased it at guest relations at the MK after having my AP's processed.

I would check on the expiration date in person when you go in Sept. If it will take you to 10/31/09, then go for it.

You can use it with the dining plan to pay for things not covered by the dining plan - alcohol, for example.
