DDE Disney Dining Experience Card

Hi all,

We have decided this year NOT to do the Disney Dining Plan this year and I am thinking of buying the Disney Dining Experience card.

So I am right in thinking this gets us a 20% discount on TS restaurants but also adds on a 18% tip automatically?

How much does the card currently cost? How long is the card valid for?

We are AP holders and are visiting The World for 3 weeks starting 27th May, so when and how do we order our card?

The card is $60 for AP holders and is good for 1 year. Yes you get a 20% discount on most TS and some CS...including alcohol! LOL Yes 18% tip is added automatically to TS meals.
I'm not sure where to get the card, I think you can get it from Guest Relations when you arrive, but I am looking into this because I arrive on May 15th and am also planning on getting the DDE card!

We picked up our card at Guest Relations at Animal Kingdom (first park we visited) on our last trip.

One feature we used several times was the free valet parking at the resorts - I love to valet, but doubt I could have justified it if we had to pay for it. Also, we didn't find the automatic gratuity that big a deal - since you're likely to tip anyway, it's not really an added expense. So unless you positively weren't going to tip, you are getting 20% off of your meal, despite the tendency for people to say that 20% - 18% = 2%. I have heard (haven't tested it) that it's possible for this tip to be modified if you wanted - so if you had horrible/outstanding service it might still be possible to have that tipping discretion.

I was thinking about getting it also since we are fla residents. we do not do the whole dining thing so this might be the way to go since its good for a year.

Can you purchase it at the resort too or just the parks?

Do I have to call up to add it to my ADRs?

I have already pre-paid CRT so what do I do about this if I am only purchase the card when I arrive?
