We finally got our DDE cards in the mail today. We ordered them in mid-April and our card was charged about a week later. I can't wait to use it again on our trip in Dec.
Wow, we must have been in the same mailing. I ordered ours in april and already used the letter when we were there. We just got the cards yest. too and we plan to use them again in dec.
Wow. That took the full 8 weeks, I guess. I just called for mine for this August and the woman told me I should wait until July to order incase we go back next August because then my expiration would be Aug. 06. I know we plan to go back in Feb., but am not sure about next Aug. yet. I told her I really wanted the actual card when we go in August and she told me they now are only taking 4 weeks to arrive. When I questioned that she said the 6-8 weeks was when they were really busy and now she claims they are caught up! I wonder if I should just wait until July, as she suggested. Has anyone order recently and was told the same thing, about only 4 weeks?
Ordered my card a month ago - still not arrived. Received my letter confirming that it's good up to end June 2006. I can use the letter until my card arrives - trouble is the expiration date on the letter is 5th July - we don't fly our till 14th July. Told CM this - she said I would have to go to Epcot to pick my card up, if the card didn't arrive in time. We don't plan to visit Epcot till day 3, by which time we'll have had a few meals already!
We're staying at Pop Century first (very late arrival due to flight times - no chance of picking it up on the way to WDW) - can your card be delivered to your resort upon your arrival? Or does anyone else have any other suggestions?
Rec'd our cards yesterday as well...funny thing I called DDE during the day to ask about them and she said any day now... I am so relieved although we went last month and our letter worked fine...I also notice that our cards expire 06/30/2006.
DDE == Disney Dining Experience, gives you 20% off food and alcohol at most table service restaurants and several counter service places. Annual passholders and Florida residents are eligible to join. There is a more complete description of it here: http://allearsnet.com/din/dde.htm
lillgator, can you tell me how to get through that phone system they have set up now? I called today, finally got somewhere and got disconnected. Their voice mail number is busy.
I got a letter dated April 12, which we used for our recent trip. The letter expires June 30, so it would be nice to have the cards when we go again July 25.
