When I order my DDE card in Feb. I believe I can get two. Can I assign one to my daughter? She will have a PAP. She would like one, but why should she pay the $50 if I get two cards? Thanks

You should be able to especially if she has the same last name.

No you can't do it! we tried. Only your spouse or significant other can be the second holder of your DDE card. Originally when the card was first made available to AP holders, it did say a second adult in your household (over 21), but then they changed it and made is spouse only (or SO)! We thought the same way as you. Me and sis could share the perk and we both are AP holders, but got a big fat NO when sis called.

Now can my teenage DD use it for counter service if she is charging it to the room card and it has my name on it like it usually does?

DDE isn't accepted at counter service restaurants.

Not entirely correct.

It works at the food courts at the value resorts as well as all counter service at Animal Kingdom. This is because there are no (Disney-owned) sit-downs in those locations.

N.E.D.

We are staying at Pop and actually that is the counter service she would be using.

Yeah, I knew that. Brain fade.

DDE saves. Week in May with family of 10 saved over $600. :Pinkbounc

We will be a group of ten (4 adults, 4 teens/1 tween, 1 - 2yo). I am purchasing th DDE card, we will be having most of our sit down meals together. My mom and friend are just going to give me cash after to settle bills so I can use the DDE for thier part too. But can DD use the card at Pop if she is charging back to the room, which room card always has my name on it anyways and will match DDE card?

The room card now has the name of each person in the party on it, so no, she won't be able to use the DDE. In all honesty, the few cents she'd save at a food court isn't enough to worry about.

every morning for hubby and myself and two grandkids......we saved six dollars each breakfast .....for some of our lunches there we again saved almost ten dollars and at night time we would go to the food court and get ice cream cones for the kiddos and that was like 3.50 cents saved.......so YES you do save at the food courts....on our week vacation we saved over a hundred dollars for the four of us

Umm we are doing this. My aunt is an AP holder and she got the DDE cards. She put one in her name and one is my dad (her BIL's name) - 2 different last names and they had no problem with that :confused3

Maybe you should try and call back again and talk to a different CM, seeing that each one gives out different information every time we call

The website use to say the second card can be for a second adult in the same household over 21. It was changed this year to the second card can be in the name of the spouse or SO in the same household over 21. We called and was told no, as was many others on the boards here, sounds like your aunt got lucky and got someone who didn't enforce the guidelines--enjoy!
