This is my first time going (well, only ever been once before for one day) to WDW as an AP holder (due to the discounts on 3 rooms for 10 people that I just got today!) and thus am planning on getting the DDE.

How do you handle using a DDE card if all 10 people are not going to be together all the time? Has anyone else experienced this? Is is frustrating? We are considering getting another AP, but since we are already getting the biggest bang for the buck off the AP, it seems to be a waste....thoughts, please? :confused3

The card holder must be present to get the discount. If you are the holder, you have to be w/the rest of the party to get the discount. Only card holder, and spouse can have a card.

And, on top of the card holder needing to be there, all eaters must be on the same bill. So, even though it might be easier to split the bills according to parties, you'll need to all be on the same bill to get the discount.

Also, I think it is only good for a party of up to 6.

No, it's party of 10.

If you all aren't eating together for all meals..then someone is going to be paying full price for their meals.
