DDE card

I read the information on DDE and saw that you can only order the DDE card by phone or mail but allow several weeks for it to arrive. How long did it take to receive once you order it by phone? Also, I will only have an AP voucher, it won't be activated until I arrive at WDW. Can I still order DDE with just an AP voucher?

when we got ours last year we had a real ap card.........when my hsuband called they said our voucher is fine and we will order it next week even though we still have time on our other one

Do you present the DDE card when you order or at time of payment?

You present it when you receive your bill. Although it's nice to let the CM know ahead of their tally so they don't have to reconfigure.

but at a counter service at certain hotels we just present it when we are paying at the cash register......we saved over 150 last April when we went with our two grandkids.......they ate non stop I swear.....hahahsh

I ordered my dde card yesterday with just my voucher, also told cm I was heading down in two weeks so she said she would have a temp dde card waiting for me outside of epcot at guest services good for 45 days yea

Oh no! I just got my DDE card for our trip that's in 10 days and they complete botched my first name. Will this be a problem?

You could call and request a replacement. When our cards came in the mail, our last name was spelled incorrectly. I called and received the replacement cards within a week.

I didn't think you could use DDE at counter service? Is it only at some resorts you can use it at?

We just returned from 7 days at disney using the DDE card. It was a great investment as we saved $150 (4 ppl). We bought them just prior to the prices going up. We used a AP voucher to order the cards. It did take 2 weeks to recieve them.

We always presented ours when the check came. At our very first meal with DDE we told the server right away, be he said it didn't matter and they can easily re-tally the bill. And that's how we did it the rest of the trip..

We got our cards about 2.5 weeks after ordering them. I wouldn't think having a name spelled wrong would hurt you as long as it is close.

I ordered my DDE card on Feb 7 and recieved it on Feb 28 Just in time, we leave at 4 am on March 2!!!
