DDE card valid for?????

I thought the DDE card was valid for one year from the date you purchased the card (not one year from the first time you use the card as the AP does).
Anyway, I called to ask a question about DDE and the CM said if I could, I should wait until April 11th to purchase my DDE b/c it would be valid until 5/11/2007. Is this correct?

I got basically the same info, the CM told me to order it after the 7th day of the month we were going in. To make more sense, we will be arriving in WDW on 3-30-06 so I will call back to order the DDE on 3-8-06 so it will be good until April of 2007. Or at least that is what she told me

I've read a few other threads somewhere on DIS that this is true. If you order after the 7th of the month you actually get 13 months to use the card.
The card is valid for a year from when it is purchased, not first used.

I just called the DDE number and the CM said the card is actually valid for 13 months to allow for or make up for the shipping time which could take up to 4 weeks from the date you order it.

When I called to order the DDE she told me to call back on March 6th and it would be good through April of next year. My only concern is that I read on another thread that it can take up to 8 weeks for you to get it! I need to use it for my upcoming April trip. I think I may just suck it up and risk losing the extra month. We will definitely get our money's worth on this trip alone.
