Hi everyone,

Last time we purchased a DDE we already had our APs activated. This time we won't have them activated until we reach WDW next week. Can I still order a DDE card or do I have to wait until I get to WDW?

Thanks!!!

Less than 1 week to go :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I'm trying to recall (we had APs and DDE a couple of years ago)...I think there is a code number on your APs that you can give the CM when you order DDE.

The DDE office will accept the code from the back of the voucher or the code from your activated AP. They have to have one of these two codes or you will have to call after getting to WDW (remember only business hours).

If you have your vouchers, you can give them the code and order your DDE card now.

PP is correct you can use your voucher #. You can call and get it ordered but, at only a week out you will have to pick up a temp. card when you get there (at EPCOT entrance I believe) and they only do M-F business hours I think.

ok I'm a bit confused, sorry ;) OK - If we do not get our AP's until the day we get to WDW, can we then order the DDE card at that point and then start using the temporary code?

Yes and no. It all depends what day you get there. The DDE office is only open during business hours and that is when you have to call them. Monday to Friday 9-4. If you arrive on a weekend, then you have to wait until Monday to call.

BTW, you can purchase your APs via the website or by phone and you get a voucher which is not ticking until activated at the guest relations window. You can get your DDE card with the number from the voucher.

Thanks much! I get in on a Thursday - so if I get my AP at noon - I can call right after that and get a temp number?

That should work. Just make sure you jot down the phone number for the DDE office before you get there.

Thanks again!

Sorry to hijack your thread Minnie!!!

If you purchase an AP on site, and do not have the voucher in advance, it is possible to get a temporary DDE card. Also this works if there is very little lead time between your ordering the card and your arrival.

1. Call the DDE office at 407-566-5858 between 8:30am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday (except Holidays) and give them your name, the string of letters and numbers on the bottom of the pass (starting with a "W") and your credit card information. If you are a Florida Resient and not an AP holder they will ask for your Florida Driver's license (or State ID) number.

2. Starting at 5:30pm that day, and any time it is open, you can go to the Guest Relations Window outside Epcot's Main Entrance (On your right as you face Spaceship Earth) with a photo ID and you will be given an envelope.

3. The envelope will have in it a temporary card which expires 30 days from the date of the request and a sheet of paper listing all locations which currently accept the card.

4. The plastic embossed card whould arrive at your home within a month. The expiration date on the embossed card will be either the last day of the current month in the next year, or if you ordered it late enough in the month it will be the last day of the following month the next year.

Also, if you purchase it between the first and about the 7th of a month it will expire the next year on the last day of the same month. If your purchase is after the 10th, the expiration will be the last day of the following month the next year. If you order it between the 7th and 10th is anybody's guess.

I called on July 3rd and ordered my hubby an annual pass. I told the CM that we also wanted to order DDE for our trip starting August 5. He connected me, gave her what see needed from the annual pass, and then she was able to set us up for DDE. She did tell me that if she waited to process it on July 5th, it would not expire until August 31, 2008, but if she processed it that day, it would expire July 31, 2008. She explained that if we did not receive the card by Thursday before we left, to call them and they would arrange to have it at the Epcot Guest Services, but that she wouldn't arrange for "will call" right at 30 days, because if it doesn't get picked up, it's sent back and we'd have to start over again.

Thank you this just answered my next question. We'll call tomorrow and then it sounds like it should be waiting at Epcot for us to pick up Saturday when we arrive :thumbsup2
