DDE- automatic 18% Gratuity?

This is fine for most places but how about buffets? I always tip 20% for good service but at buffets I normally tip 15% or under. Plus what if you get bad service?

I wouldn't say it's non-negotiable...if you feel strongly, then speak to a manager. They will allow you to change the tip amount, but it has to be a manager and they will want to know why. If it's bad service, you should have no issue. But, I wouldn't say it was bad service just to get it reduced by 3%...that server could stand to be 'spoken to' based on your comments!

But to answer your question: DDE users are charged 18% automatic gratuity at all table service, buffet or not. Your only recourse for bad service is to speak to a manager about having the amount reduced.

The manager will probably not reduce your tip if your only complaint is that you generally tip less for buffets.
