DDE and Reservations?

I have an annual pass and plan on purchasing a DDE card. Can I make reservations at CRT, Hoop Dee Doo Review, etc... without possession of the DDE card and still get the 20% discout? How will this work since you need to prepay for these events?

The only things you have to put a CC down for are CRT and the dinner shows. Keep in mind that the DDE discount is only good for the last showing of the dinner shows. I think the late HDDR show is a 9:30 PM show. You have to show your DDE card when you arrive anyways and the discount will be applied. At CRT, you have to just leave a deposit on your CC to be sure you aren't a no-show, so they'll total your bill at the end with the discount. Last I knew, this was only for the breakfast, but with the new princess meals, I can't really be sure.

You can make the reservations, you don't need to have the card until you show up to get the discount. You could also call the DDE phone number, pay for the card now and they will mail and fax you a letter certifying that you are a DDE member.

Bad news for you CRT lovers. We just booked lunch there, and we had to pay in full in advance. (OUCH)

NO, it's NOT just a deposit, and I've got the American Express screen print to prove it! (Headache... getting... worse...... must... lie... down...)

Here's my story. I booked HDDR for my dd's 13th birthday in Oct '06 back in Oct '04! Yes, a bit over the top, I know. But I really want front tables for her and the other girl who is celebrating also. But, I couldn't apply any discounts at that time since they had no idea what discounts would be good in '06. So, I called back last Oct....again told that they couldn't say for sure if my DDE discount or AP discount would be offered in '06...call back in Jan. so I did. And they gave me a $40 credit on my cc! I was thrilled. Yes, it is for the late show. THey told me that I would have to show my DDE card when we checked in or our credit card would be charged the $40. Obviously I'll be renewing my DDE card in late May...I've already saved $40 of the $60 cost!!!

Unfortunately, I was told by DDE that as of 2/1, DDE would no longer be accepted at any of the CRT meals. And if you're on the Dining Plan- it will cost 2 ts credits per person instead of 1 ts credit.

Our last breakfast there was on 1/28 (the last time we could use DDE for the meal and the last time that breakfast was $21.99).

We won't book it again unless things go back to what they were.

I'll be waiting forever- I know!

I just joined DDE a couple days ago and the list of participating restaurants that they emailed me includes CRT; hopefully that will still be included as we have breakfast reservations for our princess in May!
