DDE and free valet parking?

Ok I remember I thought I read somewhere that if you are eating at a restaurant that has a hotel with valet service that you can valet park for free when using the DDE (making sure of course to tip the valet!)? How does it work? Do I show them my dining reciept afterwards? I would like to use this at the GF for my Narcoosses reservation.

It's after 5:00 PM , I just show my DDE card.

Had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare on August 5th. Pulled up to GF, showed my DDE card to the valet, and he took my car. Came back after breakfast and my car was returned no charge no questions. (Remember to tip of course )

After 5pm you can park in the theme parks for free (I guess they assume you are there to dine that late, often there is on one at the entrance to check your card.) Valet is always free at resorts with DDE card if dining. Keep the receipt handy, they may or may not ask for it. I usually have the receipt buried somewhere in fanny pack and DH approaches the valet desk with just the DDE card. If they ask for the receipt, I'll dig it out.

We've only had to show our DDE card once or twice. It's pretty painless - ! Enjoy!

I would definitely have the receipt handy just in case. The rules do say to present receipt at time of pickup - you never know when you're going to get a CM that follows each and every rule!

I believe the info from DDE says when parking at the parks after 5pm you need to pay at the gate & get reimbursed w/your dining receipt from Guest Services.

We've been doing this for the past several years (great perk for DDE members!) I always show my card as the valet writes up my ticket when I drop the car off, never have to show a receipt otherwise. It doesn't matter what time of day it is as far as the resorts go. Of course, we always tip.

As far as passing through the toll plaza we haven't used the DDE card for this since we just show our room card.
