DDE and DVC ??

Hi, Is the DDE card still available to DVC members at a discount?? If it is where can I order one. If I can only get it with an AP can I order one at the same time I order the AP vouchers, or do I need to purchase it when I pick up the AP at the park?? Can I just pick up a DDE card?? Thanks!!

The DDE is not available as a DVC perk. It is for FL residents or AP holders. You need to order your AP vouchers, then once they arrive, you can order the DDE, they will need code numbers from the voucher. If there is not time before your next trip for the vouchers to arrive and then for the DDE to arrive, you can make arrangements when you call to pick up a temporary DDE card at EPCOT guest services.

OK, so does the AP begin from the day you receive it. What I mean is, we are going in November. I want both the DDE and AP. When will they expire. Should I order now or wait until the last minute?

The DDE expires about 13 months after they manufacture the card. A good CM (like I had) will tell you exactly when it will expire. That was important to us when we ordered DDE last November for a December trip, because at that time we expected to make another December 06 trip on the same DDE card. The CM told me to hold off 4-5 days, because after a certain date the card would expire a month later, making the extra trip still covered.

The AP will begin its use year when you redeem the voucher for the actual AP at WDW. The DDE begins its use year (actually about 13 months) when you purchase it on the phone.

I just renewed my DDE. If you order the card after the 6th of the month, it will expire at the end of the following month.
I ordered mine on the 6th of April and the expiration date is 5/31/07.
That's the way the CM explained it to me.

So we can have the AP, but not have it activated yet? and still get the DDE to go along with it? Am I following this right?

That's right. You just need to use the numbers off the back of the AP voucher to get it.
