DDE and Disney Visa card

We are travelling to WDW in June scared: ) Anyway the people that we are travelling with are staying offsite and we are staying on property and using the dining plan. SO we are pretty much sticking to the CS for lunhes with a TS every night. She has learned about the DDP and knows how many of each credit etc I get. She said that her family pretty much ate that way as well their last trip and its fine with her the way we have set things up. We got together and made all the ADR's together. But I was wondering if there was still a way to save them a bit of money. I know they have a disney visa, do they get a percentage off if tehy pay with that?? I usnderstand the DDE is a card for 10% off meals, but thats all I know about it. How much does one cost, is it worth it?? How do you buy one?? I never really paid much attention before because last year and this year we have done DDP. Thanks in advance!!!

DDEis the disney dinning experience card, you can get it if you are either a FDlorida resident or are an AP holder. It costs $60 for Ap holders and FR renewals (slightly more for the Florida residents first DDE card).

This card will then run from 12 months of purchase, rounded up to the end of the month, and give 20% off most table service restruants and some CS resturants where there are no TS options, (such at the value resorts, POFQ and AK). There are only a few resturants that do not take it.

If they have the Disney Visa, They can order their Rewards card or if they have a rewards card...have their rewards points transferred to the rewards card. It works just like a charge card at Disney world. It will work at the carts, stores, restaurants, etc. When we stay on property, I buy my DDP with it. Of course, they can only spend what they have transferred to their card.
