Does anyone know how the DDE discount gets applied when eating at CRT? We made our reservations, and paid for the meal, prior to joining the DDE program.

Now that we get the 20% off, how does that get applied?

Thanks

Subscribing, in the same boat.

Paid for my CRT reservation already...will be enrolling in DDE upon arrival in May...

Would love to know the answer!! :confused3

on an older thread that the person received a gift card equal to the amount of the DDE discount. The discount does not count against the full price since some of it is for the photo package.

Sounds reasonable. Should I call down ahead of time, or just handle it at the beginning of the meal?

I asked the CM this when we made our ADR because we will be doing the same thing in May. My CM said we could just call back and they'd credit back the difference. We need to do this for CRT and the HDDR. He said it wouldn't be a problem. :confused3 Hope so!

Interesting. I wonder if they include the price of the photo package when calculating the automatic tip?

You get the $ back on a gitft card for the difference of the meal portion only. Enjoy your trip. Eat slow and soak up the atmosphere.

The first time, I made an ADR for 8 people for a date in April 2007 for 8. I made the reservation at 180 days out, and didn't say I had the DDE. I called back a couple of months later and I got a nice CM who credited my credit card back with the 20% discount.

The next time, for an ADR for 7 people in October 2007, my friend made the ADR for our two families with her credit card, but I am the one with the DDE card. We both tried to get the discount applied with two different phone calls, but that time they told us to tell our server and we will receive a gift card for the 20% discount at the restaurant. Maybe because it was too complicated with an ADR in one name, but the discount card in another. It was fine. We told the server and he took the card and disappeared. It took him a little time to get it done and when he returned he told me that next time I had to do this to tell the server at the beginning of the meal.

Good luck
