How soon before the DDCT parade should I plan to sit/wait in order to get a decent view? (in july)

Where along the parade route is it usually the least busiest?

I like the idea of being close to the beginning of the route so that when it finishes, we can go to an attraction while others are still watching.

Thanks for your input and advice!

In July, I would definitely be looking for the shade. Try back towards Frontierland.

I don't know. Frontierland does not have much shade. I like to watch on Main Street by the Barber Shop. It has shade under the awning.

I'm sorry, I've never actually been in Frontierland during the parade during the day. I like that spot for Spectro. You can sit on the little wall, front row seats! (No stretched out legs.)

Thank you all for your replies!! How soon before the parade should we settle in to our seats in order to be able to see?

I think DDCT is easier to get seats for then Spectro. For Spectro people starting sitting down an hour prior (at least). However, be prepared to be sitting at least a half hour (depending on where you go). If you want to go to Frontierland/Liberty Square, it probably will be easier to get seats then Main Street.
