DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Top O the Mornin Dads! If you have not yet, go see end game, $1.2 billion this weekend, WOW! Did a fair bit of yard work with DW yesterday filling all the flower parts around the homestead. DS comes home tomorrow for the summer so got that to look forward to / something to enjoy this week.

Did you guys see this nonsense about "special guests" being able to reserve FP+ across multiple parks on the same day. I guess an AP holder, DVC member, D23 member who attends DaWorld on a regular basis isn't "special" compared to 5 day park hopper ticket buyer - VDF!

Be safe out there and have a good week.
DS went to work at the golden arches instead. He takes after me and doesn't have time for such nonsense if there is a buck to be made. Good news on his schooling as well. I found a way for him to attend the local college next year and get credit for his senior year in high school at the same time. Just has to take an art history class this summer online. Gets him out of his school and I don't know if he or the administration is happier. Also, it will let him get his first stripe quicker when he enlists in the Air Force. Now I just need to go in the back yard and pick money off my money tree.
Good news for DS and like you referenced, start pruning that tree - good luck
She was shocked to learn that her date expected her to dance with him all night. Said she is going by herself next year. Mission accomplished.
That's great!
Hey fellas!

Just spent a week in California and had a great time. Weather was perfect--clear skies and 75 degrees F every day. I think Yosemite National Park lived up to the hype. San Francisco was a neat city except for the traffic and the overzealous cop who gave me a ticket. Time to start earning for the next vacation now. Anyway, I'll assume you guys have solved all of your problems while I've been gone so I don't need to go back and check on anything.
Saw pics and places on the other site, looked like you had a blast. Also saw the map, impressive, most impressive..........

Good stuff mate.

That's interesting. All UK tickets start at 7 days and the Park hopper is included as a non removeable, so, technically, everyone who buys a ticket from the UK is special. And you know what they say about when everyone is special...…..

no-one is special.

We've already done that one. I've been doing this for 2 years now, which is 100 denegrations of 11 Princesses' virtue. Gags are going to start to be recycled, so it's good to know that they will land like new ones.
Most of us are at the point where we try to figure out how the milk got in the cupboard after breakfast. Our memories are not what they used to be. Ariel can snarfblatt my dinglehopper anytime.

Saw your FB pictures, looked like a great trip.

I usually do the second thing, myself.
That sounds like the most DISdad way to go.

I'm really looking forward to it. But can't deal with the crowds just yet. I checked a few times over the weekend here and nearly everything was sold out. Maybe this weekend.

So.… this just turned up in my inbox :scared1:

I'm not sure "Congratulations" would have been the word I would have picked....
funny way to spell "condolences". You Brits are weird.

Hadn't seen that, but... I'm hoping that means that soon, everyone will be able to.
I hate not being able to book FPs for different parks when I'm park hopping.

Ship getting ready leave port here in Halifax. Just wanted to say having a wonderful time, wish you were here.

Was able to meet up with Jim and Paul in Boston and Darcy here. Had to cut our visit with Darcy short, Norm gave me whatever crud he had, so now I’m taking antibiotics.

Thank you sir. Trust me, I have a shotgun and I know how to use it. ;)
h.

I thought that at one point. Now, I'm ready to marry my oldest off and get her out of the house. It's terrible (say that with your best Charles Barkley voice).

So.. hoping he loses, then.
3 years. hardly any time at all!
.

Thanks. You and me both. The legislature passed a bill that didn't effect me. He vetoed it, wanting to make sure it did hurt more employees. And, will call a special session that costs more money to get it done.

It's like deja vu all over again. I'm glad you can keep them all straight.

We have problems that can be solved on the Disboards? No one told me that.

Endgame was OK. Not my favorite, and I didn't like some parts or the end. Glad I saw it and the franchise is over. Back to waiting for movies on Netflix.

Easy Syndrome. I like the flying boots, anti-gravity finger laser, auto-pilot jet, volcano island, and hot animated blondes.

Those computer viruses are bad. The ones I got from your Russian Brides ads were terrible.

Definitely not. Not even if I started training last year.

They say if you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. That is where you will find me.

Morning all.
Sitting at the airport waiting for boarding with DD22. It’s early. Too early. Is this Disney thing I keep hearing about worth it?

Glad you had some good visits. Sorry about feeling under the weather.

Happy sailing!

Afternoon chaps from a meh sort of weather London.

The one I got off the Russian Bride was much worse though.
Is this Disney thing I keep hearing about worth it?
Apparently its quite popular.
Have a great trip buddy. Congrats to the DD again.
Church Lady was awesome. Imagine the fun they could have with that in the current climate....

That is too early but there is a a great, big, beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day!

It isn't too early here, just too short a night. DD had a track meet last night and based on previous experience I was expecting a midnight drive to the school to get her so I loaded up on sugar and caffeine, but she got home an hour earlier than expected. So I went to bed somewhere after 1 AM and am barely functioning. As a high school sports dad I have sat through cross country meets (cold, dark, occasionally wet, and you only see the runners at the beginning and the end), soccer (short season, occasionally warm and sunny, sometimes late and dark, but I don't understand rules and our co-ed team has no experience), boys basketball (2-3 games a week all across the region for what seems like an eternity, hard benches, but a well stocked concession stand), girls basketball (like boys but with more bouncing and less points), baseball (usually sunny, and would have been fun to watch if the team had been any good), track and field (lots of kids running around, lots of time waiting doing nothing, most of the events are too far away from the stands to see what is going on, and meets that run for over 5 hours). Not sure which the best option is but they all have dance beat! Did that when DD was little. I think dance is just an excuse to support the dance outfit industry.

Morning Guys.

Back in the office today, yesterday was a much nicer day...other than the drive part.

Have a good one.

Enjoy those events as you're gonna miss it when its gone.

Have a great father/daughter trip!

I'm do my part to support the dance outfit industry. The worse thing is they cost a fortune, only worn a couple times, and I have a downstairs closet full of them. And you can't do anything with them afterwards.
