Sounds like a blast being a sports geek as DW would call me. 18 days on the road though, that's a tough stretch. Doesn't Declan have playoffs coming up for one last run?

18 days does get a bit long, especially given that we are on call 24 hours a day while there.

Playoffs are here for Declan. Their recent slide dropped them to 3rd in the conference, setting up a one and done game with the 2 seed from the other conference in our region. They've beat them twice this year so I'm hoping that helps. If they get through Friday night, Saturday becomes a seeding tournament for the next weekend. Regardless of how they do, this will be the last time I see him play in high school. Pretty sad about that.

I hope it's warm, the women folk want to spend a lot of time at the pool this trip - we are doing a more laid back do what ya want this go round. Hoping DW can go as she is worried about her parents status. Will be coming with the whole family of 5. Gotta include SIL now as part of the family, not sure why. We get in on the 9th and head back on the 15th.

Kidani is home resort so went ahead at the 11 month. I think Scott is planning to be there too. Enjoy this last run of hoops, can see how you are sad that its winding down for you. Big part of your lives, enjoy it and here's hoping Declan ends the HS play on a high note.

Happy Friday guys! I'm calling it early (well will be done before Dan calls it). Worked 6 hours last Saturday
and they want me to stay at 40 for this project. Will be leaving in an hour!!!

Another messy day of weather here. Snow this morning, ice pellets for lunch, freezing rain for the drive home, then rain all night - going up to 6C/43F overnight. And then all that water will freeze again tomorrow. Fun stuff. It's been like that all this year. not that I like shovelling snow, but I wish it would do one or the other.

Ugh! You're getting 3 seasons in one day. Not envying you.
It's -26 here right now with windchills in the -40 to -50 range (high of -22) and I think I prefer that to what you're forecasted. When it gets cold and snow falls... I want it to stay below about -10 so you can avoid the mess you'll have. But only in winter, of course.

Lots of ice this morning, first time I can remember seeing the salt truck with chains on the tires. No school for DW and DS which means basketball is pushed back until tomorrow. I'm heading to the office around Noon.

It,s been one of this winters in Atlantic Canada , makes for an ice everywhere.
I've gone through a lot of salt this winter.
