DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
it's way it's way past my bedtime and I got home a lot later than I normally would but I just have to share something with you guys... Rob's daughter gave me something tonight that sounds trivial but is amazing to me. She gave me a pressed penny with Doc on it because she said I go by Doc. As I said in DDCC chat, it may seem like only a penny, but to me, it's priceless. I do a lot of things that I do at Disney or around Disney because I love seeing the smiles on the kids faces but every once in a while one of them does something that just totally rocks my world!

Top O the Mornin Dads! Ain't got anything new, so have a good one gents.
Evening everyone .Another great day at WDW. We saved the Galaxy on BuzzView attachment 380577

We also had another meet with DocView attachment 380578

He took off all the layers :lmao:didn't want to be called a wuss anymore
Nice job on Buzz, I did not perform up to standards on Buzz during DDCC, not sure why.

Very cool Doc!

And, made it to Tuesday. January seemed to be 100 days long, and February is moving at the same pace. :sad2:

When you pay off enough people, it's amazing what the league will do.

::yes::

Well, let's be thankful he didn't take off ALL the layers. :scared1: :lmao:

!

Performance anxiety? You are getting older. Maybe need a trip to the Dr. for some little blue buzz pills? :lmao:

I'm starting to thing Doc is living on property somewhere. ;)

Maybe it's in the Cinderella Castle suite.

Not fun this morning. Winds gusting up to 30knots with snow means drifting, means shoveling to get out of the driveway. The drive to work was fun too with visibility going down to zero occasionally.
But made it safely, so no complaints.
Yuck. Been there, done that. But at least you did it safely.
That's one thing I am fortunate with - I have a job that I can basically work from home via emails, etc. if I have to and the weather is carp.

The biggest problem was the half time show. The sound system... It worked and you could hear it.
:rotfl2: I was wishing the bleep outs were a lot longer.

While I agree, I actually enjoyed the game. It was close right up to near the end. Maybe because it's the opposite of what I expected?
I did appreciate that aspect of it. But when you look at the playoff games two weeks prior, they were also close but with scores in the 30s and 40s. I definitely preferred that.

True. $200 left on that balance. This is the 2nd kid thru braces, and I'm definitely tired of paying that bill.
I paid one braces bill. So far I have escaped the 2nd. Dentist is saying she lucked out and most likely won't need them. Funny because when she was small she had a fair gap in her front teeth. That since closed in and I guess that's how she lucked into no braces.

Morning all from a wet, mild and foggy Fredericton.

Enjoy FoP, got to try it for the first time while at DDCC. It is an amazing ride.
If I could afford to live on property, I probably would. I may be there often, but it's usually for 4 hours max.

Since I moved down here, I've tried 2 times a week. During F&W and DDCC7, it was many days in a row.

Just trying to be frugal and make the most out of my AP. :lmao:

You will need it to move that slow to save up some money. State auditor said today Kentucky is in debt $12K for every person in the commonwealth. Things here in coal country are getting worse. We had law enforcement called to an emergency county fiscal court meeting yesterday. Our new judge executive found out we are over $100,000 in debt much of it going back 3-4 years for jail expenses and other undetermined expenses. Several of the surrounding counties are in worse shape. When no coal is moving out, no money is coming in. It is going to get interesting.

Was able to watch the West Ham vs Liverpool replay. Poor Dan. The Hammers got robbed on a terrible offside no call. But, with the draw, Man City can go back on top tomorrow. Who you cheering for 007?

My oldest had a crossbite. Paid for pre-braces work. My youngest just had a few gaps and I didn't think she needed braces. Of course the orthodontist did along with DW.

Saving money with that AP. :lmao:

It is shocking. Governor Thanos lowered KY's corporate tax rate. Can't imagine how that brought less tax revenue into KY. Whether it is our state or nation, all forget national prosperity occurred 40+ years ago with a higher marginal tax rate. Maybe taxing drugs will be the hope for the future. :sad2:

The fact that I actually used my ticket for the first time in ages (even though I was totally spent) compounded the heinous robbery that occurred, especially as my seat is in line with the offside. We were screaming at the lino with a few choice old english words. Ah well. They generally even out over the season, and Declan should have scored with the free header. It isn't often we walk away from a Liverpool game thinking we should have had it. I thought our free kick was beautifully worked.
In terms of support, any team that play Spurs or Liverpool or affect their progress generally get my vote. Except Millwall.

He could shoot all day then.

That's a lovely thing

Welcome to Galactic command, soldier!

That sounds less than ideal mate. Take care up there.
Heard a line today... The biggest problem was the half time show. The sound system... It worked and you could hear it.

It was. I had to wipe away a tear (in a manly sort of way of course). @declansdad Rob and his family live not far from you. I've met you both. Both good people. I strongly suggest y'all meet up some time. I'm even toying with the idea of a vacation up to Canada next summer (definitely won't be in the winter...I'd need at least 20 - 25 layers then). :rotfl2: Will have to get @Terra Nova guy and @pkondz in as well. Maybe a marathon driving trip like @pkondz does.

Guys, I really really REALLY hope ya'll don't think I'm gloating, because that's not who I am, but I am sooo stinking happy being here and being able to meet up with folks. Rob's little girl is a sweetheart and it's no surprise, considering her parents. I've enjoyed all my meets, but that little girl blew me away last night. I never expected anything like that, which is what I think made it all the sweeter.

That was a terrific set piece and I didn't see that one coming. It was kind of like the old pick n roll in basketball.

As long as you don't brag about the weather, then all is fine. Meet up pictures aren't bragging. It's a great way to enjoy Disney for those of us who can only make once a year or so.

Deal. If it comes across that way, my apologies. I'm just very thankful I'm not in the cold weather (although you couldn't have proved it to me last week). Me no likey cold.

Hopefully you can convince DW to move and we can enjoy the weather together.

Gloating, nope...we're all jealous.

Let us know when you are coming. I don't think @Zmack is that far from me so we should all be able to meet up.

Happy Wednesday. It rained a 40 year flood of water last night and we are in for another soggy day. Looking forward to tennis tonight, but may need a boat to get me there.

Evening everyone, had a great day at DAK. Finally got to experience Pandora, FOP is an amazing ride, we had blast riding it. We are heading back to DAK tomorrow to ride FOP some more ::yes::

Are the standby lines still backed up for FoP? I think the Safari and EE ride lines were shorter last trip as everyone was in FoP line.

Hopefully you can convince DW to move and we can enjoy the weather together.

Still working on it. A lot will depend on what Governor Thanos does with this retirement bill. Sadly, that's the only benefit of working here now. I can probably find a low paying job with terrible insurance in Florida somewhere.
