DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Ever since my little hospital stay a few years ago, I find I can't tolerate cold weather. Nice outside but cold in the house so for the second time I had to pull the space heater out again after putting it in the closet for the "winter." Nice and toasty right now.

Since the Dads didn't do a bracket this year I filled out an ESPN one for the first time. After the early games, I only missed the Vandy/Northwestern game. Currently tied at 1.4 millionth place in their pool. Tough crowd.

Enjoying life right now. Gators won, the remote has new batteries, the family room is warm and only 1.4 million people ahead of me at ESPN's pic 'em. Plus, about to have a bourbon.

Define cold

A much warmer cold than you would define it. When I lived in NYC, I would occasionally walk around in the winter in a sweatshirt and shorts. Now if it is in the 50's I'm freezing. I trace it back to the rehab place after being released from the hospital. Temps were record lows (in the 30's) and they didn't have the capacity to keep the place warm. Froze my a$$ off.

That sounds familiar. I have yet to do a trip since I was a member of the club, but I expect I will get a lot of eye rolls whenever I do another trip, since I plan to do a report next time.

Not just one bag of candy in this household. I didn't get fat without trying. Reece's peanut butter eggs, Cadbury candy coated eggs for DW, and Hershey eggs for dd. And yes, there is a dad tax associated with all bags.

We can't have Cadbury Mini Eggs in the house, I can't leave them alone.

I watched this one last night. I did feel sorry for the guy who sent NW to the line because he thought they were down 1, rather than up 1. He looked devastated. Hope you enjoyed your Bourbon.

Unlikely to call it later as I have a ton of BS meetings, so go home when you like. Free-for-all Friday.

Happy Friday. The workday is over. We did a family tennis day after school with the four of us on the court. No one killed each other, but the dds were a bit over competitive. Stopped for cheese pizza carryout from Donato's. The thin crust is better than the handtossed, or maybe it is just the sauce to cheese to crust ratio.

Just the clothesline.

We just use the dryer.

Tourney Time. Just got off a conference call and I am done for today. This time of year my productivity goes way down. Gators play ETSU around 3:00. They are riding a losing streak so many pundits are picking the upset.



Who needs clean clothes anyway.

I can't leave them alone either. But my problem is that there are always little bowls of them laid out all over our house, and they keep reappearing. The Christmas-winter hibernation-Easter period is not kind on my waistline.

I would enjoy reading yours if you get the chance. I'm looking forward to mine too, because that would mean I would actually be getting back from a trip! Oh well, "one day the sun will shine and have not will be no more".

That loud boom you heard was my bracket blowing up. Had Villanova to repeat as champions. Damn Sconies! Guess now I can just enjoy the games including Florida/Virginia tonight. If they get past Virginia, at least it makes it easier to go to the Elite 8.
