Afternoon chaps from a sunny but windy wherever. My mum's birthday today, so we walked round, sang happy birthday with banners at the end of her drive, and gave her a p0rn star martini kit. We will facetime with her tonight, and I'll make p0rn star martinis here, and my Mum's partner will make them there. We took round a cake but kept half here so we could all have a piece.

Eating in France tonight, as the EPCOT eat around the world challenge goes into its final stretch, and we are eating in "Belle's Baguettes", with Croque Monsieurs and Frites all round
Haw hee haw hee haw. Hamsters. Elderberries. I got veto'd on my idea for the restaurant "The feelthy IIiinglish Kerrrrrrr-Niggets Bistro", so we went with a Disney Princess for a change

Things are just getting crazier. Terrible killing spree yesterday in our neighboring province and today the price of oil is dropping like a rock.

I saw the mass killing on the news late last night. Awful stuff.
Oil dropped to -37$ a barrel? So they are paying someone 37 bucks to take a barrel off their hands.....

In exciting news from Appalachia, because we didn't use our snow days, the last day of school has been moved up two weeks!! DD gets to start summer vacation two weeks early. whoopee.

We were also notified that graduation has not been only cancelled, only postponed. I'm betting DS will get his diploma when he gets his DD 214.

This working from home seems to be driving our cat crazy, or maybe he's still the same and I'm going crazy. Only time will tell I guess.

As far as the oil situation gas is less than $1.50/gallon now. I took the family to the Dairy Queen drive through yesterday for ice cream and we got north into town by going south (We took some eastern KY roads that wound around the mountains and we had never been on them despite living here 10 years. What direction you go has no meaning unlike living in the Midwest where east is east and west is west). Passed an hour at least and got the family out of the house.

Good deal - need to get folks out of the house as best we can

23 year veteran with two young children. There was another hurt but released from the hospital today. Total count as of 2 pm was 19 and they were expecting more went they go through the 5 houses that were burnt. 16 crime scenes in total to investigate.

Saw that, horrible. Thoughts are with all those directly affected.

Same here. DD wants a graduation and prom. I don't know how likely that is. They could schedule graduation during our July trip to the world, if WDW is open.

Interesting. I thought it was going to be similar to Italian in that mange means to eat. After looking it, it means the sleeve. According to wiki (never wrong, right?)...it is a coastal French department in Normandy and was named or created during the French Revolution in 1790.

Sounds like a good plan. I don't recall your dates (I think it was July). Even if they're actually running again at that point, is it worth the risk? I often wonder about when Disney re-opens, how long before I'll be willing to go back.

Afternoon y'all. Sunny but cold here today. I re-rendered the Pizza Oven whist having a 2 hour conference call, so I'm waiting for it to dry before I cure it. Ordered about 6 cu ft of Oven logs so we are all geared up for summer.
We are now getting the kids to make scrapbooks of the EPCOT challenge as we only have 2 countries and the IG left.

Sounds like the right thing to do. There's a fair bit of sh)thousery going on over here on refunds from the travel companies. I get it, they have no cashflow , but everyone is not sure the travel companies are going to be around in 3 months time, so a voucher would be useless if there is no company to honour it. So it's a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy that a few of these firms will go to the wall.
There is a massive publish backlash here against Richard Branson who used to own all of Virgin Atlantic, as he has petitioned the Govt for a bailout, and he has lived on Necker Island in the Caribbean paying no tax for the last 10 years or so.

About to go into a call on what stores we can get into over in y'alls neck of the woods in the next couple of months to refit some without any impact to trade, so all my US News watching will come in handy.
