MNSSHP was last night. First time there and I did enjoy it. Only did one candy line but hit a bunch of rides and basically took advantage of the special festivities. This morning she is at DHS for a couple of rides then back here to do some homework before flying out tonight. We will hit F&W again before she has to leave.

Main Street. As an aside, I wish they would decorate other parts of the park but MS was nicely done.

Sounds like a great time. I have to agree about the decorations though. More places would definitely make it feel more immersive.

Against my better judgement

Reminds me of the Saturday Night Live Arnold Schwarzenegger bit. We are here to Pump [CLAP] You Up! Those are great costumes.

The pirate Princess wanted to go so we did for a bit. Cruella and the sidekick of the villain in Pinocchio were there (He is in the background). http://s240.photobucket.com/user/cj9200/media/Disney 2014/Disney 14-10/IMG_7920.jpg.html http://s240.photobucket.com/user/cj9200/media/Disney 2014/Disney 14-10/IMG_7922.jpg.html The parade was cool and the fireworks were good. Some have said this is the best Disney Display anywhere, but I thought the special fireworks for Star Wars were better. A mediocre picture of the castle http://s240.photobucket.com/user/cj9200/media/Disney 2014/Disney 14-10/IMG_7939.jpg.html All in all a good time but not sure I would spring for this regularly. HDDR was a lot of fun and you know cheap beer is right up my alley. So, yes I did. Well done CJ

Top O the Morning Dads!

Are you getting rooms at separate resorts? Or, will the boyfriend be staying at A Universal resort? :lmao: Yeah, definitely need more on this story. I'm not sure when to start shooting prospective boyfriends.

So you guys are staying at Contemporary and he gets a single person backpacking tent at Wilderness?

Considered both ideas guys but I have a 2 bdrm at SSR and wait listed at BWV. You have to remember that she is 20 so a bit different, but we will be together in the same 2 bdrm. Also future warning to Dads, mom tends to support daughters so a bit of 2 vs 1. He has been a prospective boyfriend for years and they were good friends for most of that until right before he went into the Navy - that's when they decided to be an item 6 or 7 months ago. So she is at school and he is based in Pensacola but they have been making it work. Good kid, good family known him since HS. So, as long as he gets his Holiday leave during our trip, which at this point he thinks is likely, we have a party of 5. Took a bit mentally , but he is added to MDE (Russel from UP avatar :rotfl2:), our hotel reservation, dining plan, etc. New this type of situation would hit some day, just came up on me too fast - she will always be my little girl, just is that she ain't little anymore :( So Norm, start shooting prospective boyfriends as early as possible.

Well, that sucks.

Checked into my flight for tomorrow. The first leg is on Airtran, so I went ahead and paid for seat assignments when I booked the tickets. You know, on the off chance that I want all 5 of my family members to sit together. Didn't bother to check that the seats were the same ones I paid for before I printed the boarding passes. I looked down at the pages as they came off the printer and see that we are in rows 11, 12, 14, 16 and 16. :furious:

Called Southwest (because that's who I booked the travel through). They can't help because they don't have access to AirTran's seating assignments. Called AirTran - they can't help because it was booked through Southwest so the reservation is view only to them. :furious:

Turns out, my card was charged for the seat assignments, but then about a week later for some reason, a refund was credited to my card. No one seems to be able to tell me why.

I've been told that the people at the airport counter can change my seats when we arrive tomorrow. Yippie. I plan ahead and spend the money to get in the front of the plane, now we'll be lucky to get a handful of us near each other at the back, be the last ones off the plane and miss our connection. :furious::furious:

Back to the office Wed. Bah humbug!

That is good planning - shoot them early. :lmao:

I can logically get the age 20 difference, but since I'm not Spock, that doesn't help much. Good luck.

Well, that sucks.

Maybe you can work this out so that one of these tickets can go to Mike's dd's boyfriend, and then have that flight re-routed to Alaska.

Awesome picture. Great dad moment.

Afternoon gentlemen,

Looks like I'm a week behind again. We had conferences last night. Stretch is doing just fine academically. Peanut has already blown by what she is expected to know at the end of kindergarten. Looks like her teacher will be earning her pay check this year. The kids are off all week. Tomorrow if the weather holds we'll do a nature hike. On Thursday my dad is taking all his grandkids for a a few days.

Have a good day Norm.

Thanks. Glad to hear children doing well in school.

We did parent teacher conferences last night. In summary, youngest dd talks too much, does excellent on a task she wants to do, and doesn't even try when she doesn't want to do something. In other words, she's me without the fat and beer. :crazy2:

I'm worried what the future has in store for me.

Sounds like it could be a lot worse.

I've got a sack of pixie dust I'm sending your way.

I'm also making a mental note to stay away from Southwest.

Well guys, the party is over, it's time to call it a day. All good things must come to an end....

Moving out morning. Nice trip and about the only good thing about leaving is I was able to make fast passes for the upcoming December trip. Need to finish packing, shower and drive the 4 hours to Miami.

That's a bunch of peanut buttery beverly.

Make sure you get there early (don't follow what we did for our trip. There is a new TR link down there in my signature ya know?) so you will have a better chance of them moving you. However it might not be so bad if Bambi & Ryder are sitting together, Evan & Madison are together and you are faaaaar away from all of them. :thumbsup2

Now much time do you have between your flights?

I blame this one squarely on AirTran. Which is being bought by Southwest. So...heck, I don't know anymore.

50 minutes. Short enough to really suck if we have to change concourses in Atlanta.

Good Morning Fellow dads, well wishes to everyone!

Mike, today is a happy day! It's expected that on Friday, Bettman along with the mayor, will be at Bridgestone to announce Nashville as the host of the 2016 NHL All Star Game!!! I can't even express how long I've waited for this announcement! I was living in Orlando when Nashville hosted the 2003 draft.

Prayers for those in need; Praise for those deserving; May your favorite team win, unless they’re playing mine; Disney, Dole Whips & Bacon for All!

Update on the airline kerfuffle:

Since I work 5 minutes from the airport, I ran down there to talk to someone. Explained my situation and my frustration and he put us all together in one row. Row 30. Of a 31 row aircraft.

I politely explained to him how we had reserved row 16 and either asked for a refund of our seat fees, or to be moved. Low and behold, row 10 (the first row after business class) was available. I said it WAS available. Now it'll have my fat butt riding in it! :cheer2::cheer2:

Getting the oil changed in the vehicle. A fun way to spend the afternoon. Indoor tennis starts tonite.

Well guys, the party is over, it's time to call it a day. All good things must come to an end....

Time to return to the normal life in South Beach. :crazy2:

You able to get tickets for those, or are they for corporate sponsors and season ticket holders?

So much for my plan to get rid of Mike dd's boyfriend.

Nice job getting the seats changed. Now that you got the outgoing flight taken care of, did you check the return flight? popcorn::
