Hello all! I'm Brian and I was just accepted into the Dis Dad Club Facebook group today. Wanted to post here to say Hi!

Welcome to the club!

Morning guys. Family day today then a party with extended family for the superbowl. Too early for a beer?

I can't believe you even asked that question. Super Bowl Sunday, extended family and 3 snow days coming up. Of course it's not too early.

Friday's gift auction wins, came out a few bucks ahead nothing great, won a Cannon Powershot camera & 2 sweat jackets with customization (thinking Disney Commando themeg)

This was the 1st gift auction that had Disney HP's and I did not put in for since I'm getting AP's this year, Maybe I should keep putting in for them since I've won them a few times already, it could be a good way to make a few bucks if I won them and sold them, of course a discounted rate

Nice. Good win for the first one. Feel free to bid on the HP's and send them to me when you win.

And yes, I'm in the 8-12" area......this is a smack in the face after getting what was supposed to be a trace this weekend that turned into 6"!

Good Morning Scott. Did you draw that map yourself? I like the crayon accents. Stay safe and warm.

We are getting some snow today. Then more on Wednesday. Topped off with a foot or so over the weekend.

A snowy Monday. In 2 weeks, I'll be sitting on a beach sipping fruity umbrella drink at this time.

DD won both hoops games this weekend and they are now 9-2. She played well in the first game and the first half of the second. Seemed to not be into it the last half of the second game.

DS lost 2 this weekend. First game we did much better than when we played the team last time, but they are still just a lot deeper. I've got 4-5 good players and then a significant drop off. They have 8-10 good players. Second game was the top team in our division. We had them down 16 at half time and let them come back and win by 3. It didn't help that DS did his best Greg Kite imitation and fouled out with 8 minutes to go. He played poorly on defense, but had 2 good offensive games (at least while he was playing).

Why yes, yes I did!

Actually, I follow a weather forecaster on facebook that covers our area. They forecast pretty darn accurately compared to some of the local newscasters.

Looks like they use paint to do their maps!

We probably have 8-10 inches on the ground right now....we're gonna start running out of room to put it unless we have a warm snap soon to melt some of it off!

Thanks for all of the prayers and congratulations on the birth of our son, Drew. It was great to see so many of you sharing in our excitement.

I apologize for my absence from the boards lately, and as a peace offering I present a cute baby picture:

What a terrible Monday. Schools out locally due to the snow and dds had the day home. DW has been fighting a cold or something, but it hit her super hard this AM and I went out to get her prescription refill. Then, around 10:30 AM, I had to drive down to campus about 75 miles away, with the first 40 miles being on unplowed parkway. A short while after I get home, MIL calls DW and tries to guilt her to drive to her grandmother's house to try to get it ready when she is discharged from hospital.

I am ready for this day to end.

We felt like we needed to take some time just the three of us away from normal life before I go overseas. We couldn't think of a better way to get away…… Not to mention we already bought the annual passes.
