Morning guys. Family day today then a party with extended family for the superbowl. Too early for a beer?

Every morning, my 3yo excitedly says, "it's a good morning today!" Boy do I wish I shared that excitement with her! We spent the weekend in Wisc. Dells for my 11yo gymnastics meet. Had good time at Kalahari resort. It is -16 at home, 3 hours NW of here. Good news, the sun is shining!

Doing a little ice fishing today, we have caught a few but nothing for dinner.

The only good thing we have caught is a buzz.... Always have to be prepared.

The temp has already dropped 15 degrees. It is back to freaking cold.

First Superbowl I've seen in a lot of years and I'm not impressed so far though the Radio Shack 80's commercial brought back some memories. Could be interesting start to the week. I came to the big city because I have to guest lecture first thing in the morning. If the forecast for a foot of snow holds classes may be delayed or cancelled and this will just have been a trip to a hotel to watch the Superbowl.

Absolutely, had a great time with my older DS. We caught some perch, but they were too small. Herring are really making a comeback in our lake, they numbers were low and they banned fishing them. Schools of them were hitting our lines for about an hour, so that was fun but we had to throw them all back. $265 fine for each fish. Yikes! Hopefully they decide to open it back up on limit.

Glad to hear you caught some. I should have a free weekend in February...otherwise, I may just have to skip work and go fishing!

This was the 1st gift auction that had Disney HP's and I did not put in for since I'm getting AP's this year, Maybe I should keep putting in for them since I've won them a few times already, it could be a good way to make a few bucks if I won them and sold them, of course a discounted rate

No. I think Manning gets too much credit for the Colts SB win. It wasn't until the defense got healthy, I.e. Sanders and Jackson, right before the playoffs did we gain momentum. That allowed us to go through the playoffs because we could limit other teams scoring. It's great having record setting years, scoring records, etc. but at the end of the day it's championships that matter in the NFL. Ask Marino and Jim Kelly, heck that's why Elway stuck around so long.

As a Colts fan, I've seen this hype show before and then was let down. Welcome to the Peyton Manning Postseason Recovery group, Broncos fans.

As expected, classes cancelled until 10. I could have stayed in Appalachia and had better weather. I'll be glad to see this winter come to an end.
