Warmer thoughts - considering how most of us are freezing our tukas's off, thought I would share our March ADRs to create at least warm thoughts :)
March 15 - 20
Mar 15 Arrive, BLT, Raglan Road Dinner (St Pats fix)
March 16 - Hollywood Brown Derby Fantasmic pkg
March 17 - Chef Mickey's & Biergarten (I know an Irish mug like me doing German on St Pats? We have not done Biergarten yet and have done Rose & Crown plenty)
March 18 - Keys to the Kingdom Tour
March 19 - all open
March 20 - Tusker House & Tony's Town Square

Nice!

Well, thanks guys. Except we already have a monkey wrench in the plan. My wife just called in tears saying they could only get her on the wait list for Monday, so we're basically back to...well, who the heck knows.:confused3

You have to get on a waiting list just to be induced? Wow, the US health system rocks.. Seriously, good luck and hope this goes smooth

You needed to make FastPass+ reservations for that 60 days ago, I guess.

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

Well, well, well. Guess who else is doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour on March 18. This guy!! Clearly we will have a photo or 10 to share with the group. What time are you doing the tour? We are in the 8:30 time slot.
I completely missed that you were going to be down there during some of the same dates. We are also in the 8:30 time slot so a definite DISDads meet. It will be the 3 of us, (me, DW & DS) as DD has different spring break and is doing the college beach thing  Very cool and should be fun but photos are not allowed on the tour so we will have to get some pre & post tour. DS, who wants to be an Imagineer is very pumped for this tour. Looking forward to finally meeting a DISDad.

Wouldn't that have been weird if we had both done the same tour and didn't realize it until afterwards?

Weirder still if you had a meet up planned for, say, 6:00 at Aloha Isle and all through the tour you kept getting in each others way, bumping into each other, etc so much so that by the end of the tour you're both muttering under your breath about how much of an a*#hole the other one is and saying "if I ever see that guy again it will be too soon."

Of course, guys being guys, you meet at Aloha Isle, realize that each other was the jerk from the tour, have a good laugh over it and enjoy your Dole Whips.

Seriously, praying for the best for you, Julie and little [REDACTED].

I thank you, and [REDACTED] thanks you too.

Exciting times. And for goodness sake, make an appointment with the snip-snip doctor. You don't want your wife to go through this again do you?

 No! We'll get it on the calendar. It'll be after the baby is born, since we thought it might not be a good idea for us both to be hurting at the same time. Maybe during March Madness? Masters weekend?:confused3

I didn't realize that just about all of the stories they've done are just modern adaptations of Doyle's works. Good thing I've never read one. Although I've always meant to read Hound of the Baskervilles.

I haven't read them either, but I think they're more faithful to some than others.

Always wanted to do that tour. We'll be waiting for a full report!

Sorry for the tears. The monkey wrench… that's to be expected unfortunately, but tears are a tougher commodity. Tuesday then? That's a good day for getting’ born; worked out well for my young’en.

I'll take any day at this point. So will she. And like Chris said, the tears are to be expected too!

And we do.

“Disney” as a first name would be unique to be sure.
Now “Walt”… that’d be a different story.
Not necessarily for a girl mind you, but still…

:rotfl2:

Remain calm. I know you've been down this road before, but pregnant women cry all the time. Can they induce on Tuesday? Maybe it won't matter and the kid will make a break for it over the weekend. That's more fun anyway. You get to have the "honey- my water just broke" conversation that they get in the movies. Nobody is ever induced in the movies.

With the other 3 kids, having the induction date on the calendar seemed to do the trick--she naturally went into labor soon after it was scheduled. I'm hoping that trend continues. But trying to convince her not to worry about things we don't control feels like a fool's errand at this point.

Or, more appropo to this year:

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

If only…
Nice work on not letting the cat out of the bag there.
What type of a bribe did it take for Mark to let you be the only other one ‘round here that already knows the outcome?

There was only one way to get that info out of us, and Barry figured it out.

Prayers your way Mark! Hopefully little Mark or Markina arrives before then!

Thanks David!

And "Markina"? That might be worse than "Walt".

Easy, just tell him that we were going to Disney World in January and needed to know if we were shopping for Team Mickey or Team Minnie. :thumbsup2

And there it is.:thumbsup2 Bribery is a powerful thing.

The Magic, from San Juan PR to Port Canaveral, FL. The kids know we're going to Puerto Rico, but don't know about the cruise. We plan to fly down a few days early, then when it's time to head home, tell them there was a problem with airplane and we'll have to take a 3 day boat ride back to the mainland. When we get to the port, low and behold - the Disney Magic will be there waiting for us!

That's awesome!!:thumbsup2

Hope all goes well. I'd suggest taking a hike at the biggest mall around but that might not work then you'd have an even more tired and crabby pregnant wife on your hands.

I tried getting her to shovel all that snow on Tuesday night and she refused. So it's her fault, basically.

Congatulations! I hope she arrives early!

I see what you did there.

Hopefully they don't start inducing at like 6pm. :sad2:

We could get a call anytime from midnight to 8 a.m. Monday morning.:headache:

Best wishes to all. What kind of middle names goes with Redacted?

They say the same activity that resulted in your situation will also bring on labor. Just saying.:rolleyes1

Inductions are different in your neighborhood. I was at work and SWMBO called and said the MD wanted to admit her for induction that afternoon. She wasn't packed so he said whatever works for you all. I got home from work that night and we decided if we didn't want a December baby we had to go in that night so we just drove in and the started the induction that evening. About 18 hours later I was a dad for the first time.

We had a doctor who recommended that course of action during an earlier pregnancy. I was all like, "Best. Doctor. Ever!!!" :woohoo: Then DW declared certain places to be a one-way street.:headache:

I think in our case they have "medically necessary" inductions which get bumped to top of the line. Ours is not (yet). Then we've had a couple of snow storms that cause delays, and whoever is scheduled to be induced gets pushed back a day, etc.

Speaking of induction ceremonies, on the day my first kid was born, a certain Phillie - turned Cub - turned Phillie was elected to the Hall of Fame. It was a very good day.

That is pretty cool. One of the worst trades the Phillies ever made. And I'm not sure what their current plan is as they add every over-the-hill player they can find to their roster, but it wouldn't surprise me if they ask Sandberg to spell Chase Utley a couple times a week.

Rob's was better.

Sure, until that poor kid has to fill out the bubbles for his/her name on the SAT form.

I'm hoping the Phillies stink so bad that they fire him just in time for the Cubs to be good in 2015 or 2016. We hire him and finally make up for 1984.

I feel bad for him. I think he'll be a good manager, but if you don't give him any talent to work with...

I mean, Bobby Abreu? Seriously? I hear Jamie Moyer is still available.

God help me. Local news is Bieber all the time now. Bieber arrest, Bieber arraignment live, Bieber getting out of jail live. Idiots carrying "Free Bieber" signs at an impromptu rally/protest. Teens outside the jail crying and professing their undying love... I need to go throw up now.

Nah... don't throw up. Just go antagonize the poor misguided youth that worship that punk.

Getting ready to head to Indianapolis for Disney on ice!

Ya, up here too. But really who cares, unfortunately he too will fall victim to the child star curse. Mom and Dad nowhere to be found to set this kid straight.

Glad you guys adopted him...lol

Next order of business...you guys need a mayor?

What a day. The boss arranged for a 2:30 telephone conference call. Can you believe it? I'm usually home around that time. :rolleyes1

CJ is a closet Bieber fan? I never would have figured. :lmao:

Wouldn't that be all the pain Mark has to go through? Crying? Diaper changes? No money?

It could be worse. They could induce on Superbowl Sunday. Fortunately, Mark doesn't have to ever worry about missing the Eagles winning a Superbowl. :lmao:

‘
Always the opportunist. :thumbsup2
:

Always.

You're at least on the positive side of 0. Every time we get above 10 we get snow then back into the deep freeze. Norm, when we pack up and head to CJ's, I'll make sure there's enough room on the luggage rack for you.

That works for me. I have a couple of sleeping bags and will gladly survive the drive down for 40+ years of mooching.

We've debated on returning to Tony's with the dds. DW and I ate there on our honeymoon and it was terrible, so we have not returned. How far away from Nashville are you? Last time thru, I texted Philip and we met up at RFC. We usually get there once a year, but with two trips to WDW this time, we may not make it.

Office is officially open and I have gotten less done in the same amount of time than when we are closed. Must be I don't work well with others.

oh, I get way more work at home done. Problem is that people keep stopping by to tell me how busy they are. But, a few hours at the office for me is enough to fill a day for many.
