I like this plan, except for actually setting foot in Chuck E. Cheese. I know you skipped the nasty pizza, but still...

I got out early! I just so happened to accidentally schedule some tutoring sessions that day so I could leave after about an hour. Didn't have much choice actually- I'm still paying off the APs. I'd gotten my fill of Chuck E for 2014 by that point.

Hope all are enjoying Friday eve. It's Friday for me as me and DS head up to Chicago for 2 Blackhawks games, Chicago food and the Disney Archives exhibit at Science & Industry Museum. Have a good weekend guys.

Have fun. And bring back some wins. The 'hawks are struggling a bit lately. And playing Anaheim won't help!

The Bruins are struggling as well. Should be a good game and a fun weekend. Enjoy the time with DS.

You my friend may have a man law there! We don't have a January birthday in the family, but I am willing to do those that do a favor and second that. Now if your wife gets angry you can blame it on us.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

She won't be angry. She actually enjoys football (except the Pro Bowl, which of course isn't football anyway). I married up. :thumbsup2

Just grab your coffee at kwik trip and get everything else at Target when you get down there.

Just don't use your credit card. :scared1:

Sounds like a pretty awesome weekend in store!:thumbsup2

But as a Cowboys fan, you know there may be more than 8. As a Dolphins fan you know that you have topped out.

You do realize Romo is still the QB, right?

Going through the mail back up while we were at Disney and Florida City sent me notification that I ran a red light and want me to pay a $154 fine. Funny thing is I was making a right turn and right turns on red are allowed in Florida. Now I need to go to court to fight it. Blown tire on the way back then this. I want to go back to the Disney bubble.

Not if you became Miami Dolphins fans! In that case, you could just expect to be mediocre-wins 8 games every year and miss the playoffs. Just ask CJ.:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Oh, and go Patriots!

Or you can move to Boston. Why? I have no idea. But you get to root for a once proud franchise, the Celtics.

I got that covered - I married one.

And married well might I add.

But as a Cowboys fan, you know there may be more than 8. As a Dolphins fan you know that you have topped out.

The Fins got rid of Ireland as the GM so we may actually get better. Hopefully no more moving up in the first round to get a guy that is injured and at best played on passing downs. One of many examples.

Half Marathon day and another 2:00 wake up. I am a zombie and cant understand how the Princess and the other Dopeys are coping. Get to the corrals and guess who is there.

These guys

To put it in perspective, this was the Dis Dad meet up at the 2012 Half Marathon. Ryan would be in the picture but he was stuck on a bus somewhere. A much colder day.

Good seeing everyone and hats off to all the runners. And everyone finished!

Headed to the bleacher area where I would be camped out for the next couple of hours. Talked SIL into going to the MK to watch the runners there. Win for me.

Corral G is off

Disney does this right. Logistically they have it down, moving people from place to place and entertaining both the runners and the spectators.

Notice once again, the sun is not yet up

As the womens winner crossed the finish line

At the finish

Gave her a pep talk. One more race to go and just two miles into the full, she will be at the halfway point of the miles she was going to run this week. She threw her medal at me and let me tell you the Donald medal hurts.

Back at the room, the Cheetah heard about this thing called an ice bath that helps in recovery so she decided to do it. She found out it is extremely painful. Funnier than he!! listening her beg for mercy as she sat in the bath.

Trying to warm up

Tonight was the Ohanna meet. Ran into Aaron on the way to the bus and we decided after a bit to share a cab to the Poly. The pre meet got moved from the Tambu Lounge to the pool bar. Seems the Northerners wanted to look at the sun. A good time was had, lots of laughs and one or two jabs at each other. OK more than one or two.

Since I wasn't going to pay for the vegetarian to eat rice all night, we went to Kona. Had the Maui Onion and White Bean Soup which was very good and crab cakes that were good but spicy. DD had Pan-Asian Noodles and they were very spicy. Not something you want to eat before running 26.2 miles. I talked to the waiter and ordered the Cucumber Roll which was well received. They were nice enough to take the noodles off the bill without even being asked.

After goodbyes to the families at Ohanas, where I thanked them for spending their money in the state of Florida, it was back to the room and lights out. Up in a few hours for the last hurrah.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: You're lucky the medal was all she threw at you.

Yup. They all look Dopey to me.

Looks like a great weekend!

Very lucky man :rotfl2:

Thanks guys and looking forward as the United Center will be cranked up this weekend for both Anaheim and Boston - hopefully so will the Hawks.

Thanks for birthday wishes for dd. Since her dance classes cost has gone up, we told her that other areas were going down to offset them - one being her birthday. She was ok with that. I don't understand the whole dance 3 days a week thing, but if it means she will actually be happy in a related career one day, then that would be great.

Thirsty Thursday ownage
.

I'll drink to that.

I must be the only one that likes the Pro Bowl. I know it's not real football, but it is still football and it is in Hawaii.

No pictures of the Cucumber Roll? :lmao:

Thanks for posting the pictures.

Two of my kids have January birthdays. To avoid football conflicts we did them both Saturday mornings. Chick E Cheese at 9:30 am, skip the pizza play some games and we were out of there at 11.

Great idea, but we don't have one of those locally, and the closest homemade version didn't open until lunch. Thankfully, those days are over now.

Yesterday was my first day back to work after DDCC / Half Marathon. It was 11°. Not going to lie - I spent a good part of the day coming up with a pro/con list of just packing up everything we can fit in our two cars, heading to Florida and trying to sell the house from down there.

I get the good spot in the driveway at CJ's house. But, I only need one car.

Work has been kicking my a$$. I've always had those stretches of work where it was exhausting but then let up. Well, after being in my "new" position, it has been relentless. The thing is, I love my job but it's wearing me down. It's been to the point of working every night after wife and kids go to bed. And it's just to to keep up. But like the song goes, no use in complaining when you've got a job to do.

Well, at least you enjoy your job. The plan is still for me to stick around another 2 years and lock in my 20 years. That 20 years would give me my retirement and health insurance at time of retirement. It isn't much, but it's a goal. At this point, it is one of the few goals.

Evening...been pretty busy lately, plus suspect a battle with a flu bug coming up. Prayers, congrats and beer for all need them.

The Bruins are struggling as well. Should be a good game and a fun weekend. Enjoy the time with DS.

Yeah what the hell happened the other night?:rotfl2: The unwashed masses almost started to plan another parade.

Welcome back! Sit a spell and tell us how life has been treating you.

Howdy! Long time no hear.
Hope all is well and that good things are going on in your world these days.

Hey guys,

Been busy busy busy. Been in some more plays, was hospitalized for a serious jaw infection, added another member to the Turkey clan (the same week I was hospitalized), started a board game blog, had my basement floor demonstrate tectonic plate shifting, you know the usual. Getting ready to head down to the World again, so I thought I'd resurface and bask in all things Disney to prepare.

Hope all has been well with y'all!
