I have much the same relationship with bourbon. Though I'm told I need to try it again, ignoring the cheap stuff and focusing on the higher quality options.

Yes, the cheap stuff is brutal. I have really enjoyed the last one I drank "Basil Hayden". Don't get it mixed up with Old Grand Dad, as they are both his recipes, but Grand dad is brutal. I think there are another 50+ bourbons to try at the Bourbon bar.

the sooner you do that after you say I do and accept your lot in life the better off you are.

I refuse to surrender.

Day 13

Happy New Year. We took down our Christmas tree and decorations yesterday, went to Mass, and celebrated the new year with pizza and mimosas. We only managed the ET new year's, but that was close enough. The announcer said that it is a "bucket list" thing to be in time square for NYE celebration. I read an article where some for those folks get there in the AM and wear diapers so they don't lose there place in the party. That and all the cold weather doesn't sound fun to me.

No, just heading out to the big city where my research plots are to cover strawberries. My plan to be in bed early for New Years almost went perfectly. I was in bed by 10. Unfortunately, going to bed that early had me awake at 3 AM. Hope my plans for 2014 go a little better than that.
