Another Dad brag.

It was a big day for Declan, player of the game in basketball earlier today and we just found out he was awarded the fair play award for his premiership soccer team from this past season. Unfortunately we didn't go to the awards gala tonight because he was too tired.

Even prouder than I was earlier.

Forgot to add the great marks he brought home on Friday - 3 A+ and 1 A

Fell behind again here. May be even more behind soon. Sounds like they are going to start monitoring internet usage soon. Work is always getting in the way.

On the Plus side, I have a new ticker below.
It is going to be a surprise trip for our boys. Not sure how we are going to tell them but it will be a Christmas present. I thought about getting one of those little people planes and having 4 people in it. Then having clues in the plane. Like a WII logo, a Pirate saying R, and try to find a mickey to fit with the WDW logo. Wife liked it but she was thinking of some other ways. Whatever we do, we will hopefully catch it on video and share it with you all.

Uglier for me than you. Easy to explain. Missed field goal, a couple of fumbles and voila, a loss. The game is a microcosm of the season so far. Show promise early then shoot yourself in the foot.

Sounds like my football season as well. The NFC East is setting pro football back about 40 years.

Boma was one of our favorite meals this past trip. Everything was fantastic!

Oh, and when it comes to the NFL stuff, all I have to say is:
8-0!!
The Chiefs beat the Vegas over/under on wins for the season by the end of October! It was another ugly one, and it wasn't the best competition in the NFL. But you can only beat the teams you play, and I'll take 'em any way I can get 'em.

Mine as well. I didn't see the game but looked at the highlights and the Bills didn't seem to do as bad as the score looked. Maybe there is hope for next year.

Good morning Dads and a reminder for a Monday that those with upcoming trips are another week closer (I know I used this last week but it seemed to help). Heres to a good week for the youngins and there activities and safe travels for those on the road any this week.

Thanks. It was a cold day, but team played well and won easily 4-0. I've kept true to my Rec league promise and rotated all players thru all positions and tried to get all equal playing time. Each one has been team captain for a game this season. A couple other teams were stacked with some really talented players, but we have played better as a team.

Back from another say of basketball. DS and his team won their first game and lost their second. That was the cross-over game for 3rd place.

Declan was selected player of the game for his team in the first and could have easily been in the second as well. They were missing their other big man today so he played most of both games and they only had about 90 minutes between games. Pretty proud of the way he played today, some of the best defense I have seen him play yet.

A tough day on the soccer field. Down two players, we got smoked 0-4. They are one of the player stacked teams, and it showed. Even full strength, I don't think we would match up well. We "randomly" drew them in first round of tournament next week. If they all show, I'm going to try & set a new formation in practice practice this week

Well done again, sounds like a celebration should be coming - new video game, dinner at favorite restaurant, a sleep over with the guys and then something for Declan too

Congrats on the new trip We did a Christmas surprise too, only we left 2 days after Christmas. We gave both kids Mickey Christmas sweatshirts and a letter from Mickey and pals announcing the trip. It was hard keeping it a secret for 6 months though.

8 weeks in and it's a photo finish. It looks like there may be a team in the playoffs under .500 again. I laugh every time Tom Coughlin tells the media they are only 2 games out of first.

Make the best of it and travel safe. How have the crowds been? Saw reports that the start of Oct was really busy. Haven't seen a lot of reports since.

Fans here are very realistic.
We know that we're already playing with House money.
We're just looking forward to making the playoffs, and hopefully winning a playoff game for the first time in a very long time. Honestly, once we qualify for the playoffs, everything else will be gravy for this year.
