We have had hit or miss with the monorail at that time. Sometimes it starts at 7:00 AM, and other times, it doesn't run until 7:30 AM. Sometimes they have buses at the TTC that will take guests to resorts for breakfast, but not sure who to call for that as we just asked the front desk at the resort.

I think (because I have not done) you are allowed to park at the CR to have breakfast at CM. I would guess you would pay parking and then drive up to CR and tell them what you are there for at the guard shack. You are supposed to move your car after you eat. Sometimes they enforce that and sometimes they don't.
I might just park before breakfast then move it to the MK lot while everyone else takes the monorail to MK.

So help me, if you're encouraging any penguin obsession, things are going to get ugly.

Really? I like the penguins.

Did just under 9000 today in sales

Are you salary or commission? Sounds like a good day".

Someone may be able to give you better advice. We've been to all the character breakfasts and most of the other character meals, but we are usually leaving from the Disney resorts. Good luck.

How is work going? Let's get something on the schedule for lunch. I'll also check and see what game tickets I can get. Maybe we'll go to a game instead. Give me a day or two to talk to my guy.

No comment on the penguin thingy.:scared:

Work is interesting... :headache: It's an incredibly stressful situation; but the right career move. Having a tough time with it now, but I know it's the right move for the future and to support the family. Sarah gets to stay home with the kids, so that's the important thing.

Busy for sure, lots of people out sick, we were understaffed. It is the top sales store in the district. Biggest single sale was around $938, on just a mix of stuff, beer, spirits and wine.

I think my record is $1200 from one dude.

Not sure my biggest sale, but right now we have a bottle of rum on hold for a customer worth $5000. And the store's product consultant and assistant might get a $10000 bottle of scotch in....:crazy2:

If only we had a place to check when other Dads will be in the World... :rolleyes1
:rotfl:

From my front porch last night...

Nice. So Winter is still hanging on. We had a wintry mix of snow\sleet here in the Burgh.

So far, but subject to several changes:

8/21 - Arrival around noon, DTD and pool time.
8/22 - EPCOT, Via Napoli for lunch, Le Cellier for dinner
8/23 - AK, Tusker for early breakfast, Whispering Canyon Dinner
8/24 - MK (most likely) BOG dinner
8/25 - depends on 8/24, most likely a pool/relax morning and then either DTD or park in the evening.
8/26 - EPCOT
8/27 - HS Sci-Fi Lunch, MK evening?
8/28 - Seaworld for the day, Flights leave at 8:20PM to head home.:sad2:

As the kids only do a few things in HS we only need the morning and early afternoon. We have park hoppers (kids tix gift from grandparents:cool1:) so may actually hop some depending on how busy it is and how quickly we get around. I'm sure we'll change things up a few more times before we get everything in order. We need to plan time at the resort for DD to have her hair wrapped as well. Mmmmmm, we like Earl!:thumbsup2
Looks like a good itinerary!

25th.

You know....I didn't even think of it. Every time a book something, they keep asking if we are celebrating anything. My answer is.....ummm, no. Really! I forgot my own birthday was when we were in Disney.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm gonna call them back just to tell them.
I got a cup cake every meal, I swear. Enjoy the multitude of salutations that you'll get from the CM's.

Good afternoon gentleman, it has been a very long time since i have stopped by. Work has been a bear but i am now happy to say work will not get in the way. Today was my last day after 13 years at McDonald's I will now be able to work for myself and with my wife. I will have a nice normal M-F schedule with no nights. This is just what the family needs.

I just had to stop to say hello and hopefully i will have time to join the converstion more.

Have an awesome day and prayers going out to all who are in need.
Very cool!:thumbsup2 Good luck in your pursuits.

Went to Disney on Ice tonight.

It was really cool. We were 2nd row from the ice at center ice.
I haven't looked at my phone to see how good the pictures came out but I'll post if they are good.

One thing that I was bummed about is that the skater who was Jasmine was not ethnically correct. The skater could have played Mulan. My eldest daughter noticed it right away, too.

It was a really good show and the family all got to hang together.
Then came home and have been on a work call for almost 3 hours now.:sad2:

Just found out today that friends of ours are going to have some overlapping days at WDW with us. My DD is super excited. This family also was one that we referred to the DVC, so we have a gift card coming our way b\c of them, too.

I'm very excited for both MNSSHP and the EPCOT Wine and Food Festival, too.

Hi dads!

It's been a long, long time since I stopped in - I've spent the last couple of hours reading threads and trying to catch up. Prayers and thoughts to those having challenging times!

I'm in Orlando for an extended stay. We arrived last week and will be here for three more weeks. Most of my job is working via the internet or phone. I decided to rent a place (in Rolling Hills) and do my work from FL. It's kind of a mixed blessing - I'm close to all the Disney Magic BUT it certainly makes it harder to actually work! But it has been nice not to see the sun and not the colder weather of PA.

Last time I posted, we were sponsoring a big trip to Disney World for our kids and grandkids (14 total). This time it's just my good wife and I (actually my one daughter and kids are coming for a few days).

I hope my DisDads card isn't revoked but I haven't actually spent much time in the parks so far - one day at Epcot. I'll work on making that change right away!
Welcome back. Hope you find some time to enjoy WDW. That's torture being that close and being stuck working. I do like the "office.":thumbsup2

You can't really put a dollar value on that. Congrats on being able to do it. We don't get to take as many Disney trips, but having DW at home with the kids is a blessing I am thankful for :thumbsup2

Happy Friday guys :cool1:

Hoping for positive news today :thumbsup2

Morning David and all the other dads!!
Good Luck! TGIF to all!!

Seen a guy this morning on the way to work, his licence plate was "CR-V2DVC". I know you guys would get a kick out of that one.

:

DW never wanted to be a stay at home mom. I wish we could have afforded for me to be a SAHD.

Not sure my biggest sale, but right now we have a bottle of rum on hold for a customer worth $5000. And the store's product consultant and assistant might get a $10000 bottle of scotch in....:crazy2:

And they'll take it home and mix it with coke.

I don't like when they try to pass those off. One time, the actress in the Pocahontas had blonde eyebrows.

One thing you have to remember though is that there are only so many pro skaters and they have to try and keep the troop small, which is why so many of them actually skate several different roles. While it may be disappointing, it is what it is.

Thanks. You're right on. I am thankful for it as well. Just tough in the moment sometimes I suppose.

So... looking at WDW crowd calendars and I notice that UT and TP have conflicting information for a few days of our April trip. Which crowd calendar would you put more stock into?

Personally, I only use these as a guide when we go. Crowd levels at the end of April (during the week) are pretty low anyway, so any park is avaliable for my scheduling. I was just curious if anyone has seen one crowd calendar more accurate then another.
