Work is officially shut down until Wednesday but I'm in the office getting a few things done :coffee: and trying to prepare my speech for the milestone post. January is looking like a crazy month but I have all my presentations finished and just need to polish them up. Searching for some grant funding should be next on the agenda.

Good luck with getting the funding. With all the fiscal cliff talk I'm sure funds will be tight for a while. At least my milk prices are safe.:lmao:

In the office as well trying to get caught up. Have a good day!

Morning Guys,

We are watching Canada play the Russians at the World Junior Hockey Championship this morning. Finally get to watch at game that didn't start at 5:30 am. First place in the pool to the winner and Canada is up 3-1 after 2 periods. Pretty entertaining game so far.

Good luck with that! With a <8% funding rate for medical grants, I've about given up in that area.

It is about the same in agriculture and even if I get one the university takes over 45% for "facilities and administration". I have to keep trying though, I'm at the point where it will be almost impossible to do my job without it.

Yup. With all the blitzing, did they ever run a screen pass in the second half? Sad.

Garrett hasn't turned out to be the coach I thought he was going to be. It's too bad.

Maybe they can win a playoff game next year. HAHA! They are so messed up I'm not sure they will ever be good again. Romo just can't win the big game. With a $16M cap hit coming next year for him, it's extension or cut time.

I think if they can put a consistent team around him he wouldn't have turn overs like last night. Get a consisting running game so he doesn't have to throw all the time, a better offensive line that can protect the QB when they do pass and a defense that can stop a team on 3rd down.

I don't know. That third pick when they were driving for the tie or lead was pretty bad. Good quarterbacks don't throw that ball. I know there were injuries to the WR during the game, but with Austin, Whitten, Bryant, Ogletree and Harris, Romo should be able to dominate in the passing game. He always seems to be average to slightly above and turns the ball over at the wrong time. At least he's not Sanchez.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

That's a lot of things to get in the offseason:
Running Game
Offensive Line
Defense

With JJ making the draft picks and without some serious changes, it looks like the same old Cowboys next season.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

tammy and i just found out that a friend of mine from here on the dis on another thread, has passed away from cancer. we did get to meet each other in the magic kingdom last september. what a great lady and a great family. we sat and talked over by the haunted mansion for a good hour. just sad to hear. please keep sarah and john and there family in your prayers.

Reporting in from work, supervisor and 2 mechanics have already left due to sickness, I did my best to stay away from them. So now I'm here holding down the fort, I'm wondering if since I'm acting supervisor ,I have the power to say when and if I can leave early today. I'll have to ponder that one for a bit

Can you send me home early too?:confused3

What would a normal power outage be? :confused3:confused3

Oh, you know. A storm knocks it out and it's back online a couple of hours later. As opposed to crazies locking themselves in or massive 2-week outages like Doc seems to experience.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

Happy New Year, Dave! I did hear that news on the TR boards. Very sad, sounds like she was a wonderful person.

Only 45%?! A bargain! UConn takes 57% for "indirect costs". Guess they have to support that basketball team somehow!

I agree that pick was not a good one but Romo is much better than average at QB. It was hard to dominate the passing game when he spent the first half of the year running for his life and when he did throw, the receivers couldn't catch the ball. Once the got going it was much better. Bryant started to catch the ball and the line started to give some protection. Until last night in the month of December he had 10 TDs to 1 INT. Last night though he wasn't on at all.

Morning all! Thanks for your your well wishes! All is well! Ended peacefully overnight. Another sad case of mental illness and guns. Just glad none of our police were hurt!

Glad everyone is OK. An all too common experience these days.

Stayed pretty warm actually... Partly due to standing up and cheering so much as they dismantled the Phins, and partly due to Jim's seats being so close to the field that we got some heat from those heaters they have on the sidelines...

What a game to be at!

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Sorry CJ. Once the Colts took care of Houston, all hope for the Fins was lost. At least it's warm in Miami.:lmao:

Snow games are a blast up here. You should make the trip some time and we'll head out to a game.

Saw the fans throwing snow in the stands during timeouts. Looked like fun.
