I've been away a few days trying to figure out some things, but am still having some difficulty. Earlier in this thread, Brian posts:

It's the personal shots... That are clearly out of line, by the master of post padding...

When stopher or zerf post... Do you call them post padders? And make yourself look like a little angel, while giving run downs of tv shows... Or throwing a ball at a wall? Again.... I don't give a sh!t what you post... And I don't call you on it.... Sure I'll compete and keep my numbers up....but I don't call you out while doing it. If I called you out on every nonsensical post.... I would have triple the posts I have.

In an earlier post, Brian indicates this has been bothering him for a very long time, which may explain the vitriol. However, in just the last thread, around page 250, Brian edits one of my posts to include this:

My original thought was that we all take little personal shots at each other, almost daily. As Brian says, the personal shots are clearly out of line. Brian gets really mad because of my personal shot that he is a post padder. But, Brian takes the personal shot that I am an incarcerated drug dealer. One of them is a personal shot and the other gets you an inquiry by the street crimes unit of the police department.

It seems the person most offended by the personal shots seems to take the level of personal shots to the highest level.

So, I'm not going to post a bunch of hate filled comments, but will use this New Year's Time to reflect. I certainly have enjoyed the time on here with you guys. To all other DisDads, I thought we were having fun with those little personal shots that we take at one another. My apologies to those I offended. If I have or ever do cross any lines, please let me know right away, in here or in a PM, so, these type of things don't get out of hand.

We bought both sets of parents Keurig for Christmas and they both have raved bout them....Im a bit jelaous I did not buy one for myself

Have Keurig and love it. Closest coffee place is a 10-15 minute drive so it makes it easier to just make a cup when someone wants it. Wife drinks coffee, DS and DD hot cocoa and I usually have tea of some sort when using it. Has worked very well since we got it. No complaints. Dunkin Donuts has Keurig cups if you like their coffee, we usually get what is on sale or order online.

Good morning fellow dads, hope all is well, the snow started here in middle tn but doesn't look like the ground is cold enough to stick

Good morning guys. We got about 4 more inches of snow last night. Driveway is already clear.

Helps to have a big shovel.

Just starting to flurry here. Expecting 4-8 inches later today and overnight. Have a friend that is planning to plow the road so only stairs and driveway to do.

I got DW a Keurig last Christmas. We both love it. We use it for coffee and tea. One thing I noticed was you need to use distilled water because tap water will clog the filter pretty quickly.

We actually use spring water and have not had a problem so far. Ours is 15 months old. Our tap water is out of a well and would hate to see what would happen if we used the tap.

We had a Tassimo but it didn't work all that well and finally just stopped. We changed to a Keurig about a year ago and think it is much better. Better selection of coffee as well.

I have always thought we were just having fun joking around with each other, I have never taken personal offense by anything on the boards. I like that if I need to rant about work , or need advice on ADRs or time of the year or just bsing. Can't we all just get along? Lol

First of all Norm... back. The incident the other night was not intended in any way to offend you to a level that you would have taken it so personally that you would not return.

As for the personal shots, I did to back and re-read the discussion, and don't feel it had to escalate to the point that it did.

And yes, the personal shots about being a post padder with the consistentcy it was being flung my way did have me annoyed enough to push me to that edge.

As for earlier in the thread, when I edited your post to reflect that you were a drug dealer... That was clearly a joke. I don't feel you took it as a personal shot at the time. I do believe however, as a way to justify the comments the other night you may be grasping at straws to point the finger back towards me.
Either way, if you truly were offended by being called a drug dealer... Who was busted as part of a massive raid... I sincerely apologize for that, and in no way wanted to portray you as that character.

I have talked to a couple of dads here offline, and shared my concern about your suddenly departure. I reall was a little bothered by that. As I don't want to be labelled as the one that chased you away.

I did say that I wanted to put this behind us, and I am sincere about that.

I like you Norm... I think you have a good heart, and some tight friendships around here.

Please accept my apologies... Write this whole thing off as "one of those things". And let's not walk on eggshells around each other.

And please... Feel comfortable around here to maintain your status as Post Leader of the disdads.

I never take anything personally around here. That's my favorite thing about this group. The give and take but at the end if the day we're still friends. Kind of like last week when I was having issues with a troll on one of those other threads, the dads came out from everywhere to my defense. I think someone made the comment that it is ok for us to insult each other, but if an outsider does it they have to answer to all of us.

Now, welcome back Norm, please stick around, and let's all get back to our normal post padding tendencies.

Busy day today. I visited a Christmas Training Camp for the Canada Games Baseball Team. I will be their liason at the Games this summer so I was up to get some pictures for the website and check in with the coaches. Then it was home to take down the tree and put away most of the indoor decorations for aother year. Now I'm watching Beverley Hills Cop.

Keurig. Like it but just had to buy a new one cause the 2yr old one crapped the bed. So not sure how reliable they are...
