Nope. Only part of it. We get $1,500 towards each child as part of the health plan. The remaining $3-4K is OOP.:headache::mad:

A lot of plans have nothing at all for ortho. Luckily I decide the benefits and with two kids made sure ortho was included. Of course once it's spent, it may change.

That's a great idea. Use up all the eggs, butter, etc... to make baked goods to ride along with us on the trip.:thumbsup2 Hurricane Alexandra seems to hit our house daily as a cat 5. DS has been downgraded to a chance of t-storms.:lmao::lmao: He has gotten much better at not leaving a mess or cleaning it up.

Look forward to hearing how the drive down goes and finding a time to meet. Sounds like the 2 girls would enjoy wrecking the place together.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sounds like sinkholes will be the least of their problems ROFL

Afternoon fellas. It's definitely a Monday. Things are dragging. Only about 10 more days until DD7 heads back to school and DW starts up the new dancing schedule a few days after that. Need to try to squeeze the most out of family time these next several days. The good news is that the hectic weekend schedules seem to be slowing down.

Braces - went... kinda well... :rolleyes1

No pain, she was a great sport... but about 4 hours after we got home, one popped off... :scared1:

Went back, and they re-glued it. 5 mins later... back to :thumbsup2

Yes, I remember all of the "installments". We had 25 equal payments. 2 years of monthly stress related check writing. His teeth do look very nice though. The strategy of attracting a girl from a rich family may still work.:lmao::lmao:

Funny how the number of monthly installments is exactly the number needed to fix the teeth. :lmao: Fortunately, we finished spending on the orthopedic expander a year ago, and we still have visits. But, we'll be paying and getting braces soon enough.

Drive safe.

Thanks.

I had another crazy busy weekend. Yesterday we invited our moms down for a BBQ and to talk Disney. They like the plan and surprised us. When we went over the funds they told us we were splitting the funds wrong. Instead of the moms paying their own way and us paying for us and the kids they said we split everything 4 ways. That'll save us a ton of money. :woohoo: They also insist we go to the ocean for part of a day so the kids can play in the ocean.

That is really cool. Wish I had those type of inlaws. My parents won't go on vacation anymore.

I've been looking at doing the same thing. With the flex account being pre-tax, I can try and convince myself I'm giving myself a discount.

That is a good plan. Unfortunately, our HSA expires at the end of fiscal year thru work. So, I don't want to put any money in and lose it.

Now that's a nice surprise.:thumbsup2 My parents paid for us to go twice. Nothing like a discounted or free trip. I still remember the call. Mom: We'd like for everyone to go to Disney. Me: Not sure I want to spend the money right now. Mom: Oh, you misunderstood. We a paying for everyone to go. Me: Just let me know what vacation days I need to take off.:lmao::lmao:::

My family has done the same thing. We are a family of 5- bigger than anyone else's. So in my mind, we should pay the most when we share accomodations. Nope. I'm told that the cost is split evenly between the number of families not number of people..:thumbsup2 Generous in-laws!:cheer2:

Wow, even more great in law stories.

My problem with all sports is that the seasons are just too long. I am good with the NFL for about 10 games, I'm good with baseball for 100 games, and then I don't personally recognize pro basketball as a sport. But, I watch, but it's tough to get INTO sports for a whole season.
.

Not me. I could go with sports all the time. I have the ESPN SC App play that jingle notification for updates. I set a bunch of them one just to hear it all the time.

Anyone else notice that Nick is still using to old "illegal" logo? :lmao:
:

Rebel? Maybe.

Traditionalist? Could be.

Pirate? Aye.

. As for the boy, we heard from him finally late last night. Theyve been on a sun-up to sun-down schedule since he got there and wont get much down time until classes actually start next week.

That's code for he's been drinking beer since he got there. :lmao:

No, the pre-season games are given to the employees out in manufacturing. The company buys a few more seats spread out through the stadium so they can send 10 employees plus a guest to both home games.

What about training camp? Get to go to those?

Any of you guys in or around Cary, NC? I have to go there for two weeks in October

At some point I’m sure that’ll happen.

But I have connections to the staff up there…
He ain’t got the time to be doing too much of that nonsense (at least not yet).
If he is and it doesn’t effect his playing of juried performances… so be it.
If he starts missing mandatory rehearsals or losing rank in his studio…
I’ll hear about it.

Suburb of Raleigh. Ryan lives up that way.
You might want to send him a PM and see what he’s up to.
I think “Tutter” was up that way as well, but I don’t know if that’s still true.

Thanks all. My wallet appreciates your condolences. As for the boy, we heard from him finally late last night. They’ve been on a sun-up to sun-down schedule since he got there and won’t get much down time until classes actually start next week. He’s met all the rest of the folks in his studio and so far gets along pretty well so at least it’s been a good start to the process.
As for pictures…
We only had about two hours to get the room reconfigured and get him and his roomy loaded in before they had to head off for their first meeting and rehearsal so the pictures are limited. I think I’ll put up a post about in in my current TR that goes into a bit more detail, but here’s one (a blurry one) of the dorm after we’d gotten it rearranged…
Congratulations and condolences on being an empty nester.

Well, let's seeeeeee....
I saw a bunch of you were following along last Monday on our Tower of Terror marathon. Sorry I didn't get on here, but it's a real pain to post pics from my phone to here. I'll get back here later with pictures and a write up, but this Monday was decidedly less magical.
DW took Ryder (16 months) to the doc to look at an odd mark under his armpit. We assumed it was some kind of infection, and that we'd get a prescription for amoxicillin or something and be told to make a follow up appt for 2 weeks later. Boy was I surprised to get the call from DW saying they had admitted him to the hospital for a few days of iv antibiotics and possible surgery if it doesn't clear up.
So if you do believe in, and talk to, some sort of higher being, could you mention Ryder to him/her? It would be much appreciated. I'll try to pop on with relevant updates as I get them.

Definitely praying for the little guy. He's in the right place and I'm sure they'll take good care of him.

Have to talked to Dr. Chris? I'm sure he can help out.

Now that’s not right…

Prayers are in progress. Keep us posted if you can.

I'm certain I don't know what you are talking about. :rolleyes1

It was time sensitive material...and I sent it Friday. :hourglass

I understand. On the weekends, if I get 10 hours of sleep I am doing real good. This weekend was worse than normal. So I didn't have time to check. Plus I had to think about it because I told myself no Dungeons & Dragons for sports geeks this year.

One down, two to go! :hyper:

And now for the fallout from Friday's escapades....:rotfl2:

Not much was said of it when I came in, boss had an idea but hadn't gotten to deal with it yet, she was tryong to catch things up from missing the week. After she left for lunch, her boss showed up with his assistant and the acting DM at the time, they walked around and talked a lot with the assistant (who wanted to intercept/deal with them) and stayed for a couple of hours talking to the boss etc, with what they want.
Apparently we need to have the store at 100% for Thursday, including having the floors stripped and refinished.:confused3:confused: :sad2: All and all, not too bad, aside it means no coasting to vacation, going to be a hard working couple of nights.
There will be some mild reprecussions on procedures, etc.

Assistant thinks there will likely be some moves to boot, and in a small and sad way I hope there is, at least one.

As for myself I'm in the clear, Boss pullled me aside later on since I'll be gone for a bit soon, and confided some things that I got to keep TIGHT lipped. Amongst the changes is I'm going to take over handling the beer section when I get back. Sales in that area are down, she knows it's my specialty. This is why I want the move, the only moral problem, is it's run by my buddy, and it could lead to sore feelings. He is the one always in her bad books, and hs wanted out for some time, I know he got in the ear of the DM today so maybe he will get what he wants, and no straining of a friendship, y'know what I mean?

On the BIG plus, the way things are going, there will be NO issues I will need to worry about when I clock out Wednesday, I can head to Disney with a CLEAR conscience :cool1::cool1:

Thanks for all the thoughts and wishes, I might just get a win out of this yet.:thumbsup2
