I think it's a great picture.

Got ours last week. Still have the rental car to deal with, but everything else is all set. We go to CT this weekend and when we get back on Tuesday we start packing for WDW.

Next week, hopefully Monday, we're doing the pre-order for the PhotoPass+ and for the Thousand Island Wildlife Boat tour tickets for our time in Cocoa Beach. I was tooling around the MDE app this morning and tonight we are going to do the customized Magic Bands (they are available) and I tested out one day's worth of FP+, for the 21st at DHS. Tonight we'll all sit together and add more. Tomorrow we'll get our Mickey Mail, and I'll book the AAA/CAA preferred viewing spot for Wishes.

Current count is seven. I know Aaron, Terry and Brian have 10/11 DD's. Bringing our total to 10. Looks like we're in for a world of hurt in just a few years. With, well you know, and, you know, but then there's THE BOY!

Missed this... Amelia is 8 1/2, will be 10 next November so she's not too far off the mark.

Jim (and others who have daughters around his age) keep him away from her. Your son has smooth moves Ryan.

Last summer DS and I went away for a father son weekend trip. We had "the talk" but we also talk about relationships in general, dating and the best way to handle himself from a Christian perspective. It was a great weekend and at the time DS was like I see no reason why I'd want to date before I'm 18. Looks like I might need to take another trip with him.

Great. I called her from work. "Anna, this is Daddy. Would you want to go on a date with me tonight? Great! I'll pick you up around 5:30." When I got home I sneaked in to the yard, clipped a nice flower and went to the front door to ring the door bell. We never use the front door so I thought that would be special. My cutie was all cleaned up and wearing a nice dress. She loved the flower even though she knew exactly where it came from. Mom took our picture, put the flower in a vase, and off we went. First stop Walmart. We returned a few things got her supplies and wandered the toy and game aisles and just chatted. Then to Barnes and Noble to browse books and buy her a treat. We sat down in the Starbucks in there and each had a Reeses peanut butter cup cookie and just talked. Took her home and asked if she would want to go on another date sometime to which she said yes. All in all a good start. There's definitely something special about doing stuff with just one kid at a time.

That sounds like an awesome evening.

Ahhhhh Canada.... The mythical land of the imaginary girlfriend.

DD9 will become DD10 in five weeks. Do you think we can get a twofer rate if we send them both????

Well, give us time to clear out all the Biebers first...:rotfl2:

Good morning gents! Happy Friday - thank the maker, and looking forward to a good weekend for all. Have not been here since Monday due to travel but glad to be back home as of last night. DS has passed all tests, received is official drivers license this week and I have been billed by insurance for adding a 16 year old boy to the policy  Proud of him none the less.

Congrats to your son; for you here is a reminder of teens driving.

Hey Darcy! How's the weather up there?

Cool and rainy on the eastern seaboard. Apparently this summer it will either be 95 and oppressive or 65 and raining.:lmao::lmao: What I wouldn't do for an 85 degree day with no humidity.:scratchin

Cool and coming down in buckets!! I think I want to go back to Florida!

Already have the PP+. You get to use the Magic Bands and FP+?? Were you selected for the test? I don't even have the MDE option on my app yet. Fill me in. If there's a chance I can get the Magic Bands, I think the kids would be excited.

:lmao::rotfl2::lmao: DS is 13 and he has basically decided girls get in the way of sports and hanging with the guys so I'm in the same boat. Of course that doesn't stop the girls from trying. We were at the country club over the weekend and 3 girls came up to him and were clearly interested in a conversation. He talked to them for a few minutes and then went to the tennis courts. Of course I razzed him a little afterwards and he got  at me. But that's my job as a dad, right.

DS is 12. His "girlfriends" have been into sports so they know the drill. :lmao::lmao:

Missed this Randall.

I've got a 10 yo and a 9 yo (and a 5 yo who thinks she's 10)

Yes it would be nice if someone would leave a trinket for us to find. We'll be arriving the 21st. Just sayin':rolleyes1
Well your best bet to get the trinket would be to leave as little time as possible for the CMs to find it. So if I leave something in MK for you on 12/20, you would want to be in that park on 12/21. Can you do it? I'll think of a place, leave it there and PM you with the location. Pay it forward!!

That's the plan for us too. Where'd you go? We have friends who did it the same way. I can't remember who, but there's an organization that puts out materials to be used for that kind of weekend. Stuff to spur on the conversation in the car.. The book I'm reading right now strongly suggests that kids avoid dating until college. I've felt that way all along and plan on making that a rule when the time comes.

I can't believe I'm actually posting this... but I just booked a trip to the World for Dec 8 - 13! I'm so stoked! I must have caught DW in a GOOD mood today :cool1:

Congrats. A great time to go.

DD didn't start dating until the middle of her senior year. I got lucky there. Although the kid is still sticking around.

Congrats to your son; for you here is a reminder of teens driving.

I did not need to see that gif. Brings back too many memories.

New Total 14! :scared1:

I think we're going to need a bigger Extraction Team!

It is going to be a fun next few years as I sit back and chuckle. I am especially talking to Jim and Norm.

Great photo - bigger the better
Congrats on the conversion and your March trip. Sounds like Aulani is open for discussion as well. We were hoping to do Aulani in the next few years as well. Have fun booking.

Congrats as well to DS. I'd lock those keys up if you plan to have the car available when you need it.:thumbsup2
Thanks and Aulani is definately the trip for next year over the summer. Regarding the keys, what ya gonna do?

Already had one in DD and she has been real good except for cleaning out the car so hoping that since the bar has been established DS will follow and so far so good

Hear ya, DS at 16 and he needed to meet some friends at the pool last weekend so me and DW went since we had nothing better to do and it was hot (we completely kept our distance - like we were not there) as the friends were 3 girls - kept calling him Bosley and Charlie Angels - he was not happy when he googled Bosley but thats totally a Dad's job to raz and poke a little fun.
