Productive morning...found a long-lost item of Amelia's, got some groceries gotten, and installed screen doors at my parent's place since theyare stuck at home for the long term. Now I still have 8 hours of work to go!:faint::lmao:

Good Morning Everybody. Back from a 3 day weekend with a good chunk of my extended family at my sister's cabin up in Northern Wisconsin. Lots of fun and lots of food.
To break up the almost 6 hour drive, we stopped in Wisconsin Dells for lunch and a duck boat tour. Duck boats are WWII era amphibious landing craft that transition from boat to truck simply by disengaging the propellor and engaging the 6-wheel drive. The ride goes in, on, and around the scenic Wisconsin River and Lake Delton. But the best part are the puns and corny jokes from the driver. Yes, it's an hour long Jungle Cruise!:banana:

That would be so cool....extended Jungle Cruise. You have no idea how much I am bummed it'll be down on my trip. :headache:

Tell me about it. It was in the low 70's last night and I was COLD! Not sure we saw 70's for about 10 days, not even at night. CJ has the 90's back with him in FL this week.

Yeah, it's loads of fun being in a small apartment up high on the side that gets the most sun. Weeee!

Agreed. Only 30 more days for me and I'll be at Epcot!

I did quick math yesterday after work. I have the same amount of days off left as I do work days before the trip. 12 days of work, and 12 days off between now and then. :cool1:

Well, that certainly beats an hour-long IASW.

They all look really good!

Thanks.

Very cool. DW keeps trying to talk me in to doing this now that she has a Cricket die cut machine and the full Disney pack for the machine.

You could make some really cool shirts using a Cricket, I'm sure. :thumbsup2

They look great :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Those look really good. I'm always bummed about our lack of Disney attire when we go to the parks. But I'm never sure how to remedy that without breaking the bank. if I may ask, how much did all that cost you?

We bought the colored tees from jiffyshirts.com. We went with the 50/50 (cotton/polyester) this year. They are cheap from Jiffy Shirts - about $3 each on average.

Then we ordered the soft jet transfers that Adam recommended on Facebook (from creativetransfers.net) - a 10 pack was about $15.

The last shirt design used a black fabric paint - a couple bucks.

The tie-dye shirts used a tie-dye kit (about $10.)

I believe we got them all done for around $150. That is for four shirts of each design, nine designs = 36 shirts. Not a bad deal IMO. ;)

Birdies on the last 4 holes. He played really well at the end and everyone else kind of dropped off. Congrats to him. Of course DS and I played 9 in the morning. Planned to watch some of the coverage until the wife announce that he had won.:headache::mad: Yup, right at 2:55PM and coverage beginning at 3. So DS and I threw some long toss, played frisbee with both kids, had some ice cream and returned to watch the finish.
Just watched the highlights. Those three woods on 17 were brilliant.

It is a fun relaxing trip. I prefer the automated animals of Jungle Cruise over the drunken Sconnies on the duck boats.

Hey fellow dads, sorry I haven't been on much in awhile. Been looking and recently secured DD and my first house and received a promotion not sure it that's good or bad yet. How's everyone been? Been keeping up with the Facebook page and I see there's been quite a few dads I've missed sooo welcome!!!
Congrats on the house and promotion!
Being that this is our last full weekend until vacation, I was able to use the time to finish our matching shirts for the trip.
Good stuff, nicely done :thumbsup2

Why no ticker?:confused3

Don't know how to do it.:sad1::sad:

Just did the math on mine. 20 days of work, 10 days off.:headache: I think I'm feeling "cough" a little "cough" under the weather "cough, cough). :rolleyes1

I'm guessing there may be a vacation day or two in there to lessen the pressure.

Woo-Hoo!:cool1::cool1: Thanks Corey. No more counting gentlemen. 30 more days. Just look below. See I ain't lyin'.

He'll raise the age you can get full Social Security benefits to 70.

Edit: So I should have used this one instead?

While floating down the river, the pilot mentioned that the "brown color comes from natural tannic acid, which is found in many consumer products such as Coca Cola and Jack Daniels. Which, coincidentally, was exactly what I had for lunch today."

Oh, come on. You'd have to be an idiot to wait that long for pizza.

But we got a FREE SALAD!
