Morning guys :surfweb:

It's going to be a warm one in Indiana today :scared1:

I feel your Pain David, I've gotten used to the mid 70's and low 80's around here. High for today is close to 90. I ran yesterday afternoon, and it was wicked hot compared to 5AM. So I think I'm going to continue to run early morning, or at least prior to noon.

Matt

Morning...yeah, it's going to be a hot and sticky mess here the next few days too...at least I work in the refridgerated areas of the store.

Morning guys.

Here's a little funny to get you going on a cloudy Tuesday morning.

Good morning Dads! I have not had chance the past 2 days to check in but will try and catch up. Trust all are o.k. and thoughts to any that may need them. Have a good one guys!

Record high temps... gonna be fun. All we need is more hot, dry weather so that we can have field fires this fall. :headache:

Had a neighbor catch a combine on fire yesterday. You could see the smoke for miles. When those babies light up, they light up big time. Thankfully nobody was hurt and he didn't catch half the county on fire.

Whatcha doing.... on the reservation system??? :rolleyes1

Ummm... nuttin.... :genie:

That's a close fight between Brent, the controller of the beer, and my nemesis, the only DISDad that I know who has beer on tap in his basement...

:confused3

::yes::

It seems that every company is pushing more for online transactions to save money on call takers. They haven't figured out that you have to make the site super easy to navigate, informative, and it has to work very well. Even with all of that in place, you can never replace a knowledgeable call taker (do they even make those anymore? :confused3).

At least Disney still has ENGLISH speaking call takers. Still... I like the ability to sit at my desk and dream up 5 different scenarios and copy-and-paste numbers into my spreadsheet rather than having to go through all that with a live rep.

I hear ya. I LOVE building spreadsheets (yes, I'm a geek) and have resorted to building the pricing structure in spreadsheets from information readily available on the web. It may not be to the penny, but it's pretty close and it allows me to do different senarios all day long.

That must have been an expensive fire. Good to hear nobody was hurt.

Here today it was in the 70's tomorrow they say it will be 86, Wed they are calling for 97, and Thurs 74, looks like a wierd heat wave moving through, I guess I'd rather have a heat wave over a cold spell:confused3
When you have a cold spell, how can you tell? Don't your spend half your time in a freezer anyway?
10 minutes actually. After last winter I'm thinking of getting one of these for getting around.

This reminds me of the snowcat in The Shining.

Well, they were able to get the header off before it burned up too, so that probably saved them 50 - 100K, but I'd say you're looking at about $250K just for the machine. And now they're just hoping that John Deere can locate them another one to use that isn't already sold.

Boy, it's been a little quiet here this morning.

Hadn't thought of finding a new one right now. They may have to have an old-time harvest party to get the crops in.

Well, I'm sure they'd be able to get a used machine to get them through the year if they have to, but considering they had just run a total of about 30 acres through a brand new one... :rolleyes1
