DIS Dads DDC XXIX: We’re Over 750 Dads, With A Disney Problem!

got a text today from the kid. she has been written up again!!! ( disneys words, not mine).

she has been there three months as of Tuesday and has been written up four times. she only needs one more and that's safety. there are 4 keys that are beatin into a cms head and they are safety, courtesy, show ,efficiency in that order. also learned that on the keys to the kingdom tour. she needs to get safety to have earned them all.



she was working over in tomorrow land and was caught dancing to the cha cha slide by a manager in the rain.

she says these look really good on your record so hopefully it will pay off for her. at this point, she is coming home in January. she wants to finish her degree here at home. (less distraction) after that she would like to go back down and work for the summer or even seasonal. she can do the college program again if she wanted to. you can be in the program for only one year at a time. she would have to come home in may 2014 so she said she would rather do her final sem. in the winter of 2014 then summer or fall of 2014.

Very cool, she will be running the place before you know it. May then we will all get free passes and get to stay in the castle.

Hey dads. Hope y'all are well. DD starts her first day of kindergarten. I'm eating bacon to hide the few man tears. Hope all y'all have great years for your kids this year.

Those first years were more difficult. Now, i'm pushing them out the door at school.

Prayers and wishes to all who need it, no longer attempting to catch up. Just looking around phone sfter being off it today, just not letting it dominate vacation. Good day at DHS , soggy near the end though. Did TSM three times a record for us, and I did ToT for the first time in 10 years, as well as Fantasmic.

Good get on the multiple rides. Usually try the favs twice in the trip, but 3 times is even better.

One week from today the best time of year starts. That's right, COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON! Can't wait. The Gators should be better but their schedule is brutal. Don't think they will reach 11 wins this year. Thinking about going to a game (it has been a few years) but the likelihood of it happening does not look good right now.

And UL is pre-season ranked top 10. Thanks the Charlie Strong and all the FL coaches and players he brought with him.

When you’re lucky enough to find the right girl, twenty years seems like no time at all.
We hit that mark a little while back and of course folks would ask the silly: “How’d you make it that long” question. My answer was usually something like:
“Twenty years of marriage really only seems like about twenty months or so to me…
but on the other hand, it seems like I’ve been trying to raise my teenager for closer to 37 years”

Hmm, lots going on this morning. Happy Birthday and Anniversary. And congrats to the young lady with the four 'write ups'. When i first saw that i had an entirely different thought to what that meant. Around here you don't want someone 'writing you up', sort of synonomous to having a 'letter put in your file'. As to the aircraft carrier topic, i had a somewhat different experience once. During a work related trip a group of us paid a visit to the USS Ranger, i believe it was. It was in the process of being stripped for decommisioning. All kinds of people taking everything that wasn't bolted down, putting it on pallets and taking it off with a crane. Reminded me of a carcass being stripped by insects. A very unhappy occassion. Ah well, happy Thursday, troops.

Glad you did not mention how they spanked Florida in the Sugar Bowl. It made it a little (not much) easier that Charlie and some of the coaches came from UF. He should have had a head coaching job long before Louisville came calling.
