Monday afternoon ownage.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

James wins the internet today.

Agreed. :lmao:

Lines are expected to be much shorter on election day down here. They only had a few places open for early voting and a lot of people wanted to vote early. I will be there no matter how long it takes.

We have absentee voting, but you are supposed to say where you will be/ not in town. I'll go vote tomorrow AM, but am confident there will be no line. There never is. :sad2:

Hey Guys, I voted. Snuck across the border, punched out a hanging chad and snuck back with some cheap liquor.

:rotfl::rotfl:
That's great it also makes you more vested in the american political system than many americans.

This brings up an interesting point - what are ballots like everyone else's neck of the woods? Here, we are give a large sheet of heavy paper (probably 11"x20" or so) listing all of the races, referendums, ballot initiatives, etc. Next to each candidate is an arrow with a gap in the middle. You take the black marker that is in the voting booth, fill in the gap in the arrow for the person you want to vote for, then take the ballot to machine next to the door, feed it into the slot, and the reader scans the ballot.

Does anyone use touch screens? Punch cards?

We have the same thing you guys have, but since it's North Carolina everything smells like a pig picken.

It would be more fun to smack talk if he weren't at Disney World right now.

<barry> Look I can run farther
<tim> I can't hear you over the sound of my Dole whip
<barry> ...

Around here we watch the tv and either ryan seacrest or tom bergeron gives us a telephone number to call that corresponds to who we want to vote for. I think there is also a text option (only certain wireless carriers) and an online option.

:lmao::rotfl2: That would cut down on lines.

I'm hoping for the same thing here. The polling places have been crazy crowded for early voting. On tuesday we have many more polling places, so I am hoping that keeps the lines shorter.

Such an old joke considering the Loonie has been at or above par for a couple of years now. Come on now, you can do better.

Hey Paul. Agreed. Couldn't ask for a much better turnout. What is your schedule for Thursday/Friday? I can shoot down to Beverly (the city...haha) and we can grab lunch. If you have a favorite restaurant, let me know.:wave2:

Friday would be perfect, let's do it! I'm open to anything. We could meet at Santarpio's on Route 1 if you like their pizza? :confused3

Well, it was a somewhat successful visit to the Verizon store. I now have a new, working Droid Razr M and they did discount it. Not quite as much as the guy Saturday promised, so I'm not sure whether I'll pursue it any farther or not.

I'm more ticked off about Saturday now after this trip in though, but very happy with the service I had today. 2 of the people in the store today were working Saturday and knew a little bit about what was going on, but as they were sorting it out the mess they were getting a little upset with the guy who was helping me. Apparently, he must no know his butt from a hole in the ground. They didn't exactly say it in those words, but they were giving a very strong impression. It only took about 5 minutes and then the time it took the phone to start up and I was out of there today. :thumbsup2

Now to reinstall apps and get the settings back to how I want them...

Glad it went reasonably well.

I'm glad it worked out. Although I was hoping to see a story on channel 13 about a guy driving his tractor into the Verizon store!
